Huang Yimei accompanied Fu Jiaming to climb the mountain, enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way. Fu Jiaming was in high spirits and didn't feel tired at all. As dusk approached, they finally reached halfway up the mountain. Fu Jiamin and Mi Mi had been waiting there for a long time. Huang Yimei had planned everything in advance, allowing them to set up camp there. They also prepared a sumptuous meal.

After dinner, Huang Yimei, Fu Jiaming, Fu Jiamin, and Mi Mi gazed up at the stars together, imagining adventures on other planets. Fu Jiaming announced his wish to donate his body after death, but Fu Jiamin disagreed. Despite Mi Mi urging Huang Yimei to persuade Fu Jiaming, she felt distressed and avoided continuing the sad topic, asking everyone to return to their tents to rest.

Early the next morning, Huang Yimei accompanied Fu Jiaming to continue towards the summit while Fu Jiamin and Mi Mi stayed behind to pack up the tents and supplies. Fu Jiamin remained silent the whole time, still upset about the previous night's events. Fu Jiaming didn't know how to comfort him but gently hugged his shoulders before they set off. The mountain path became steeper and steeper.

Hand in hand, Huang Yimei and Fu Jiaming continued upwards. Huang Yimei was worried he couldn't endure, so they took breaks. Just as they were about to reach the summit, lightning flashed across the sky, followed by a torrential downpour that wasn't forecasted. Huang Yimei led Fu Jiaming to a cave to seek temporary shelter, concerned they wouldn't make it before dark. Fu Jiaming suggested giving up, but Huang Yimei didn't want to abandon the climb halfway, wanting Fu Jiaming to fulfill his wish to record at the summit, fearing he might never have another chance. Fu Jiaming advised Huang Yimei not to dwell on it, saying that even if they fulfilled their wish this time, nothing would exist after death. Huang Yimei didn't want to hear the word "death" and didn't want Fu Jiaming to have any regrets.

Fu Jiaming fully accepted the reality of death, and after they descended the mountain, they parted ways. After saying these words, Fu Jiaming left in the rain, leaving Huang Yimei crying uncontrollably in the rain. When the rain finally stopped, Huang Yimei continued onward and finally reached the summit. Fu Jiaming followed with his hiking stick. Huang Yimei was overjoyed. They leaned on each other, enjoying the sunset scenery. Fu Jiaming peacefully closed his eyes in Huang Yimei's arms.

Huang Yimei visited Fu Jiaming's studio, where everything remained the same but felt empty without him. She thought of him and tears streamed down uncontrollably. Sitting down, she played a piece, feeling Fu Jiaming embrace her from behind, only to find emptiness when she turned around. Following Fu Jiaming's wishes, Jiang Xueqiong decorated the exhibition hall. She immediately called Huang Yimei, making her the first audience member. Hearing the familiar music, Huang Yimei was overwhelmed with sadness.

During Fu Jiaming's memorial service, friends and family came to bid him farewell. Huang Yimei felt Fu Jiaming was still close by, not far away at all. Fang Xiewen escorted Fang Lian to Beijing, reluctantly bidding her farewell. Huang Yimei poured all her longing for Fu Jiaming into her paintbrush, creating a painting in his memory.

Years passed in the blink of an eye. Today was Huang Yimei's birthday. Huang Zhenhua and Su Gengsheng brought their son home to attend the birthday banquet. Wu Yuejiang secretly gave Su Gengsheng money to help with household expenses. Huang Zhenhua's company was struggling, and they still had a mortgage to pay off. Huang Yimei and Jiang Xueqiong's art gallery thrived. They undertook a contemporary art exhibition in collaboration with the Goran Group. Zhuang Guodong hurriedly flew in from Hong Kong.
