Zhuang Guodong bought a large house and wanted his father, Zhuang Taiwen, to move in with him, but Zhuang Taiwen firmly refused. He was used to living alone and urged Zhuang Guodong to settle down quickly. Zhuang Guodong planned to settle in Beijing, but Zhuang Taiwen knew he still couldn't let go of Huang Yimei. Quickly changing the subject, Zhuang Guodong talked to Zhuang Taiwen about his novel being adapted into a TV series. Zhuang Taiwen only wanted his ex-wife in France to see his success.

Su Gengsheng and Huang Zhenhua's son, Xiaobuding, was about to turn five. Su Gengsheng worried that he couldn't enroll in a nearby elementary school. They also borrowed a large sum of money from Huang Yimei. Huang Zhenhua was unaware and remained carefree. Su Gengsheng vented her frustrations to Huang Yimei, who advised her not to let these things weigh on her mind, saying that apart from life and death, nothing else mattered much.

Fang Taichu was about to graduate from elementary school and asked Huang Yimei for a graduation gift. Huang Yimei promised to consider it carefully. After work, Su Gengsheng suddenly received a call from her ex-husband, Peng Songtao. She made an excuse of overtime and asked Huang Zhenhua to pick up Xiaobuding from kindergarten. Su Gengsheng met Peng Songtao at the agreed place, where they discussed selling their old house, bought by Peng Songtao and jointly owned with Su Gengsheng. Su Gengsheng had also paid twenty thousand yuan at the time. She promised to accompany Peng Songtao to complete the property transfer. Zhou Shihui happened to see Su Gengsheng and Peng Songtao laughing and talking at the restaurant and casually took a photo.

Zhuang Guodong invited Huang Yimei to dinner at the restaurant where they used to date. They enjoyed their time together over drinks. Huang Yimei urged Zhuang Guodong to find a girlfriend and settle down soon. Zhuang Guodong couldn't accept anyone else in his heart and blamed Huang Yimei for leaving him with shadows. Huang Yimei reminded him not to dwell on it, and Zhuang Guodong decided to seriously pursue a relationship. Huang Yimei wished him success in his endeavors.

Zhou Shihui told Huang Zhenhua about Su Gengsheng and Peng Songtao's dinner, showing him the photos. Huang Zhenhua felt uncomfortable about it. Fang Xiewen had business in Beijing and bought a new house. He showed Huang Yimei around and kept a room for Fang Lian, asking Huang Yimei to pass on the house keys.

After work, Huang Zhenhua asked around indirectly about Su Gengsheng's whereabouts the previous night, but Su Gengsheng avoided the question. Peng Songtao quickly sold the house and split the proceeds with Su Gengsheng. Huang Yimei accompanied Fang Taichu to experience simulated flight training. Pilot He Xi was impressed upon meeting Huang Yimei and Fang Taichu, providing them with detailed explanations before taking them on the plane. He Xi piloted the plane in the sky, and it was Fang Taichu and Huang Yimei's first time participating in such flight training. They cheered happily, capturing this unforgettable moment on camera. After the flight, Fang Taichu was still eager, bombarding He Xi with questions.

After work, Huang Zhenhua picked up Xiaobuding, and they went to pick up Su Gengsheng together. At the company building, they saw Su Gengsheng getting out of Peng Songtao's car. Huang Zhenhua followed closely behind Peng Songtao's car. When Su Gengsheng returned home from work, Xiaobuding casually mentioned seeing her get out of a car and return to the office. Su Gengsheng admitted that the person was her ex-husband, Peng Songtao, and recounted the details of selling the house to him. Huang Zhenhua felt a pang of jealousy.

Huang Zhenhua grew more and more angry as he thought about it. He vented his frustrations to Zhou Shihui, who thought he was making a big deal out of nothing and didn't need to treat Peng Songtao as an imaginary enemy. But Huang Zhenhua couldn't let go of his feelings.
