He told Wen Ruohan with composure that this was not called Yin Iron, but Yin Tiger Tally.

Furious, Wen Ruohan grabbed Wei Wuxian by the throat, but at that very moment, the Yin Tiger Tally unleashed immense power, causing countless puppets to collapse. Wen Ruohan watched in disbelief as this unfolded before his eyes. Before he could react, Jin Guangyao suddenly stabbed him through the chest from behind, causing him to spit blood and die on the spot. Everyone was momentarily stunned before bursting into joyous celebration—this Sunshot Campaign had finally achieved a great victory.

Lan Xichen and Jin Guangyao entered the Nightless City hall, where Nie Mingjue struggled to open his eyes—he was still clinging to life. Seeing Jin Guangyao, Nie Mingjue immediately became enraged and shakily picked up his saber to charge at him. Lan Xichen quickly stopped him and explained that Jin Guangyao had only pretended to defect to Wen Ruohan to lower his guard, allowing him to provide the Qishan Formation Map and seize the chance to assassinate Wen Ruohan.

Nie Mingjue was skeptical but hesitantly lowered his saber. Lan Xichen continued to explain that when he had escaped Cloud Recesses, it was also Jin Guangyao who had saved his life. Hearing this, Nie Mingjue finally stopped doubting Jin Guangyao. After sleeping for three days, Wei Wuxian woke up to see his senior sister, Jiang Yanli, watching over him without leaving his side.

He proposed a solution—there was an ancient path in the valley called Qiongqi Path, a secluded and easily defensible location where the Wen Clan members who did not deserve death could be imprisoned permanently, ensuring they would pose no future threat. Wei Wuxian felt increasingly uneasy about the situation—he no longer knew who was truly righteous or evil, who was light or dark.

Meanwhile, Lan Wangji remained concerned that Wei Wuxian would lose himself to the Yin Tiger Tally, as it was not the proper path. He decided to have Wei Wuxian practice guqin pieces to help maintain his clarity of mind. Just then, the sounds of slaughter echoed from the foot of the mountain. The Jin Clan had begun indiscriminately massacring innocent Wen Clan members.

Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji rushed down to intervene, playing their instruments together—a requiem to console the souls of the departed, hoping they could rest in peace. Meanwhile, Nie Mingjue, Jin Guangyao, and Lan Xichen pledged brotherhood, solemnly bowing to heaven and earth, vowing to live and die together, standing by each other in hardship. That evening, the prominent clans gathered for a grand banquet. Jiang Cheng had officially become the head of the Jiang Clan.

Jin Guangyao, no longer the timid man he once was, finally stood tall and earned the admiration of the crowd. However, despite his great contributions, Wei Wuxian remained in the background, silently standing behind Jiang Cheng without drawing attention to himself. During the feast, Jin Guangshan suggested that now that the war was settled, Jin Zixuan and Jiang Yanli should resume their engagement.

He argued that this would also allow the Jin Clan to better take care of Jiang Yanli, the daughter of the late Jiang Fengmian.
