Luo Zhan was always angry at Li Zan for blaming himself. He felt that Li Zan was destroying himself, making it impossible for his condition to improve. To ease the tension between them, Li Zan suggested they spar in a boxing match. After a few rounds, Luo Zhan noticed that with Li Zan’s skills, Jiang Yu could never have landed a hit on him—Li Zan had clearly let him. Then, Li Zan brought up his intention to return to Dongguo.

Upon hearing this, Luo Zhan became even more furious. Dongguo had caused Li Zan too much pain in the past, and he didn’t want him to go back and suffer again. However, despite Luo Zhan’s objections, Li Zan remained firm in his decision, leaving Luo Zhan no choice but to storm off in frustration. Since he had to attend a colleague’s wedding, Li Zan specifically invited Song Ran to return to Liangcheng with him.

Moreover, his recovery had been going well. Yet, Luo Zhan remained firmly opposed to Li Zan going back, fearing that he would suffer even greater harm. In response, Dr. Liang showed Luo Zhan a video from their last real-life CS simulation game.

While they were discussing this, Li Zan happened to see them. Li Zan told Luo Zhan that his decision to return was not just for himself. Seeing the war-torn country in ruins, he wanted to do something for the people there. At the same time, it was also a way to completely heal his inner wounds. Moreover, he was doing this for Song Ran as well—he hoped that once he was fully healed, he could give her a grand wedding.

Under the joint persuasion of both Li Zan and Dr. Liang, Luo Zhan finally agreed to support Li Zan’s decision to go to Dongguo. To get more information, he called Benjamin to inquire about the situation in Dongguo.

That was when he learned that the armed rebels had been negotiating with the government for the release of their leader, Ark. The government had refused their demands, and as a result, the rebels had begun a violent retaliation, targeting civilians and causing heavy casualties. There was now an urgent need for a volunteer to help with mine clearance. Realizing that he had said too much, Benjamin quickly changed the subject.
