The doctor told Song Ran that her mother’s cancer cells were not well controlled. Song Ran called Li Zan and asked when he would be back. She told him about her mother’s illness and said that she couldn’t handle everything on her own anymore. Li Zan reassured her, telling her not to worry, that he would be back soon. Song Ran’s mother developed pneumonia due to a lung infection and was rushed into the emergency room.

Song Ran was extremely anxious and waited outside. Dr. He came over to talk to her, telling her that her mother was now in the intensive care unit and that he couldn’t see her either.
