Li Zan took Song Ran out for barbecue. During the meal, Song Ran intentionally asked Li Zan when he started liking her, which made Li Zan feel a bit awkward. He excused himself by saying he needed to buy something and left. Just then, the reporter who had previously given Song Ran a knife, along with some other people, came to eat at the same place.

Upon seeing Song Ran, the reporter spoke harshly, accusing everyone of going to dangerous places just to get some explosive news and become famous. He especially pointed out that Song Ran’s video had gone viral online, implying that Song Ran was just seeking fame. Song Ran’s intention, however, was to show the world the suffering of Dongguo, and she stood by her decision, refuting the reporter’s claims.

This angered the reporter, who was about to take action, but at that moment, Li Zan returned. When the reporter saw the tactical gear on Li Zan, he assumed Li Zan was from the special forces and sat down obediently. At this point, the owner of the barbecue restaurant came over and chased the annoying reporters away. The next day, Li Zan had a mine-clearing mission. Upon learning about it, Song Ran insisted on joining him.

Once they arrived at the site, Song Ran anxiously searched for Li Zan, and he suddenly appeared behind her. They leaned against a large tree, embracing each other and taking a sweet moment to rest. While the soldiers were searching, they discovered a dungeon. Song Ran, eager to capture footage, wanted to film the dungeon. Li Zan personally led her inside. Inside the dungeon, a family had been trapped by terrorists who had planted a bomb.

The terrorists had seen the government army coming to clear the mines, so they had already activated the bomb, and the explosive disposal team was needed immediately. There was no time left, and the only person who could disarm the bomb was Li Zan. As Li Zan prepared to defuse the bomb, memories of when he had been injured in an explosion resurfaced in his mind. Despite the mental turmoil, Li Zan remained determined.

Sa Xin initially tried to pull Song Ran out of the dungeon, but she refused to leave, worried about Li Zan. Upon seeing Li Zan’s reaction, both Song Ran and Sa Xin became worried. Sa Xin noticed that Li Zan wasn’t in the right condition to disarm the bomb and tried to persuade him to leave. However, Li Zan knew that if he left, the family in the dungeon would have no hope. He kept pushing himself, determined to continue.

At that moment, Song Ran slowly walked behind Li Zan, wrapping her arms around his waist. She decided to stay by his side, no matter the danger, and kept comforting and encouraging him. With her support, Li Zan was finally able to overcome his inner demons and successfully disarm the bomb.
