In the underground parking lot, Lin Jiao saw Li Zong’s driver and pretended to have forgotten his car keys, asking the driver for help. Once the driver left, Lin Jiao quickly got into the car to check the dashcam and took photos of the map shown on it. He then instructed Pang Ding to take people to search at the end point of the dashcam’s route.
Xiao Ran was worried that Li Zong and Chen Zong would not give up even after realizing they had been deceived. He bit down on a strong sleeping pill given by Dr. Xue and administered half of it to Song Lingling while kissing her. Due to the concern for Xiao Ran, Song Lingling was reluctant to sleep, but eventually fell asleep under the effect of the sleeping pill.
As per the kidnappers' plan, when they were about to execute Plan B on Xiao Ran, they woke Song Lingling. Upon awakening, Song Lingling transformed back into Xing Tian. She broke free from her bindings and, following Xiao Ran’s suggestion, escaped to seek help. However, seeing that the attackers did not pursue her, she didn’t want the enemies to die at someone else's hands and returned.
The kidnappers were about to carry out Plan B when Song Lingling returned and single-handedly defeated all three of them. Seeing Xiao Ran in a dazed state, Song Lingling thought he had been drugged and demanded the antidote from the kidnappers. As the kidnappers had no antidote, they were severely beaten by Song Lingling. Eventually, they falsely claimed that the antidote was hidden in a pile of goods across the room.
While Song Lingling was searching for the antidote, the three kidnappers took the chance to flee. In his dazed state, Xiao Ran noticed something falling from a height and quickly pushed Song Lingling away. According to the location sent by Lin Jiao, Pang Ding and his team arrived. Xing Tian, thinking that reinforcements had arrived, prepared for a fight. Xiao Ran pretended to be poisoned and asked her to come closer, then suddenly kissed her.
By the time Pang Ding and his team came in, Song Lingling had reverted to her original self and was sleeping beside Xiao Ran. Pang Ding took them to the hospital. When Song Lingling woke up, she saw that Xiao Ran was still unconscious and recalled the kidnappers’ Plan B. She thought Xiao Ran had become a vegetable and cried bitterly while hugging him.
During their kidnapping, Xiao Ran had confessed his feelings to her, and remembering this, Song Lingling cried and told Xiao Ran that she liked him too. Hearing Song Lingling’s confession, Xiao Ran playfully opened his eyes and asked her to repeat it. Seeing that Xiao Ran was unharmed, Song Lingling happily embraced him, and Xiao Ran kissed her in return. David video-called Elder Shen.
As instructed by Elder Shen, David had already bought one-way tickets for Chen Zong and Li Zong to go abroad temporarily and advised them to be cautious. Elder Shen, unaware of Shen Xiangyu’s feelings for Lin Jiao, urged her again to marry Xiao Ran. To resolve her father’s pressure for marriage, Shen Xiangyu took the initiative to find Xiao Ran.
Song Lingling learned about their engagement and, spurred by Liu Yiyi, gathered the courage to tell Shen Xiangyu that she would not back down easily, which pleased Shen Xiangyu. Before leaving, Shen Xiangyu handed over the task of convincing their parents to Xiao Ran and advised him to ensure that his relationship with Song Lingling progressed.
