After Lan Yao turned back to her original self, she had no memory of what had just happened. Xiao Ran, seeing her pitiful appearance, called her a “psycho” and then walked away. Xiao Ran went to his father’s hospital room and saw that his elder brother was also there.
Since their father had a low opinion of his elder brother, Xiao Ran comforted him after leaving the room, saying that their father had high hopes for his abilities, otherwise he wouldn’t have asked him to help. When a news segment showed an interview with Xiao Ran, she picked up a vase and threw it at the enemy’s head, causing the TV screen to shatter. Her friend was so angry she almost vomited blood. In Lan Yao’s studio, Little Pang noticed that the character Xing Tian in the game was missing. Just as he was wondering about it, Xiao Ran walked in.
Xiao Ran wanted to find out from Lan Yao when the bug would be fixed, but upon learning she was hospitalized, he went to the hospital to look for her, only to be told that she had been discharged, so he had to temporarily return to the company. Unexpectedly, Lan Yao was waiting for him in the underground parking lot of the Shanhai Group.
Holding an iron rod, Lan Yao cursed “dog thief” when she saw Xiao Ran and swung the rod at him. Xiao Ran grabbed the iron rod and struggled with her while calling the police. Seeing that Xiao Ran wouldn’t let go, Lan Yao suddenly grabbed him by the neck. When the police arrived, Xiao Ran was unconscious, and Lan Yao had returned to her weak appearance. When the police questioned Lan Yao, she couldn’t remember anything at all.
After checking the surveillance footage, the police detained her on suspicion of murder. The secretary informed Xiao Ran that Lan Yao’s whereabouts had been found, so Xiao Ran and the secretary went to his friend’s house. His friend had planned to impersonate Lan Yao but was immediately recognized by Xiao Ran.
Seeing the photo of his friend and Lan Yao together, Xiao Ran seemed to have an idea and went to the police station, falsely claiming that Lan Yao was his girlfriend and that they were just playing around. When he went to see Lan Yao, she adopted a desperate stance once again.
