Episode 1 Recap

At the live recording of "Superstar Talk", the audience freely expressed their views on the modeling profession. The general opinion was that models wear revealing outfits, face high demands, and are scrutinized on stage. Many believed that with their good looks, models should consider acting instead. As the host introduced her with enthusiastic applause from the audience, the hottest supermodel in the fashion world, Han Yijing, made a dazzling entrance.

Addressing the common prejudices against the modeling industry, the host hoped Han Yijing would speak up on behalf of models and clarify misconceptions. At the same time, the host seemed intent on gossiping about her previous car accident, asking Han Yijing to explain why she had mysteriously appeared on the highway. Han Yijing remained composed, skillfully turning the situation around by countering the host’s question directly.

With elegance, she offered a piece of advice to young people: rather than blindly idolizing others, focus on being the best version of yourself. At the market, inside Haili Wang Seafood Store, the wealthy and beautiful Qu Ruoqing was staring intently at Jia Fan. With his great physique and handsome looks, he caught her eye. Since her family was opening a new store in France, she invited Jia Fan to go with her to train as the head chef.

However, Jia Fan remained unmoved. Just then, Dong Xiaoru called, asking him to deliver a package. Tempted by the money, Jia Fan quickly completed the delivery at the fashion show, only to be scolded harshly. You Ning, relentless in her temper, yelled about calling security to kick both Jia Fan and Dong Xiaoru out. At that moment, Han Yijing stepped out in slippers—she had always disliked You Ning’s pretentious behavior.

Han Yijing and You Ning had always been at odds, constantly clashing whenever they met. Embarrassed to be put in her place in front of others, You Ning was furious. As Han Yijing turned away, You Ning intentionally stepped on her slipper, causing Han Yijing to lose her balance and fall heavily to the ground, injuring her knee. While everyone’s attention was on Han Yijing, a nearby candle quietly ignited some fabric.

Jia Fan noticed and immediately ran out to grab a fire extinguisher. Despite the crowd’s attempts to stop him, he sprayed it, but in the struggle, the powder ended up covering Han Yijing’s outfit. The incident was a major accident—male model Ding Chen injured his foot, and the designer fainted on the spot. In the chaos, Director Zhang pulled Jia Fan in to fill in last-minute.

Although Jia Fan was completely clueless about what was happening, he matched Teacher An’s aesthetic. Initially, Han Yijing opposed the idea, but after being bombarded with Jia Fan’s arguments, she made a dramatic 180-degree turn and immediately decided to style him for the show. Jia Fan was unwilling, but Han Yijing used Dong Xiaoru as leverage, forcing him to comply.

Director Zhang explained the rules of the runway to Jia Fan, and suddenly, everything clicked—he just had to walk with an air of indifference. Director Zhang eagerly agreed, emphasizing that he should treat everyone like they were invisible. At the backstage, the wardrobe assistant handed Jia Fan his outfit, while Xing Mo mischievously gave him a thong. As the lineup prepared for the show, Director Zhang reassured Jia Fan, telling him not to be nervous—he would do just fine.

Han Yijing was the first to take the stage, delivering a spectacular performance. Xing Mo followed, and the flashing cameras focused on him. When it was Jia Fan’s turn, he silently recalled Director Zhang’s instructions—walk 25 steps, strike a pose, and return, imagining the audience as nonexistent. His mother had also taught him how to walk the runway as a child—keeping a straight line. Under everyone’s gaze, Jia Fan successfully struck his pose.

However, as he turned to walk back, his left foot tripped over his right, sending him sprawling across the stage in front of the entire audience, his shoe flying off the runway. Dong Xiaoru frantically gestured at him from the sidelines, urging him to get up. Realizing what happened, Jia Fan quietly slid off the stage, picked up his shoe, and returned barefoot to complete his walk. Backstage, President Ling approached Han Yijing, advising her to tone things down.

He also inquired about Jia Fan, but Han Yijing claimed ignorance, grabbed her bag, and left immediately, even skipping the celebration party to avoid conflict. Coincidentally, as she stepped into the elevator, Jia Fan was already inside. Han Yijing complimented his performance, saying they wouldn’t meet again, and advised him to ice his leg once he got home. In the parking lot, Han Yijing was stopped by an internet writer, Huang Jinde, who insisted on interviewing her.

She pulled out her phone and played a recording of Huang Jinde, warning him to stay away. Furious, Huang Jinde violently blocked her car, trying to snatch her phone to delete the recording. Just then, Jia Fan arrived in time to rescue her. In the scuffle, Han Yijing hit her head and fainted in Jia Fan’s arms.

Episode 2 Recap

A model—a profession that everyone is familiar with yet knows little about. While natural attributes are the foundation, hard work is even more crucial. Han Yijing sighed, acknowledging that fate had given her a career, yet she constantly had to go hungry to maintain her figure. In this profession, body shape is the most important asset, but a sudden car accident nearly ended Han Yijing’s career. Jia Fan drove Han Yijing to the hospital.

To avoid being photographed by paparazzi, Han Yijing, despite feeling unwell, insisted on touching up her makeup in the car. Upon arrival, she was rushed into the emergency room, while Jia Fan was pulled aside by a nurse to fill out paperwork. Though he wasn’t a family member, he was allowed to sign as a friend. At the bar, You Ning was complaining to Xing Mo about Han Yijing when President Ling caught her in the act.

President Ling ordered her to reflect on what had happened in the dressing room and warned her not to mention Liao Jinyuan’s name again. The doctor advised Han Yijing to reduce her workload; otherwise, her leg might not even support her daily life in the future. Han Yijing responded that she would be careful and that there was no need to inform President Ling. She was already 29—she didn’t have many years left to walk the runway.

Just then, Jia Fan happened to enter the hospital room and overheard her words. Annoyed, Han Yijing pushed him aside and left the hospital. Jia Fan kindly offered to drive her home, but Han Yijing coldly refused and warned him to keep his mouth shut. Though he liked beautiful women, he found Han Yijing to be nothing but sharp-tongued and mean.

Jia Fan stated that he had no interest in her and, as she wished, returned her car keys, distancing himself. Before leaving, he still handed her the medicine prescribed by the doctor. President Ling instructed her team to look into Jia Fan’s background.

She specifically went to Xing Mo’s bar that day to remind him—since he had claimed he wouldn’t let age dictate his modeling career and that he’d walk the runway until he was eighty—he had better live up to his words. Back home, Jia Fan enjoyed a warm meal cooked by his father, boasting about his debut on the runway while also praising the great genes he inherited.

Meanwhile, Dong Xiaoru packed seafood for delivery, and her mother sent Jia Fan to handle the delivery. He sped off on his electric scooter, safely delivering the goods to Moyilu—the modeling agency where Han Yijing worked. President Ling appreciated Jia Fan’s quick thinking and adaptability, exchanging a few words with him before letting him go. At the entrance, Jia Fan noticed a promotional poster for a model audition.

As he stared at it for a moment too long, someone approached and encouraged him to participate. Seizing the opportunity, Jia Fan quickly excused himself to the restroom and fled. As he stepped out of the building, he ran into Han Yijing. She assumed Jia Fan had ulterior motives and was deliberately approaching her, so she tried to pay him off to make him leave.

Jia Fan told Han Yijing that the type of woman he despised the most was someone like her—self-absorbed, sharp-tongued, and ungrateful. After arriving at the company, Han Yijing learned the real reason for Jia Fan’s visit. She deliberately stopped him and leaned in to retaliate, unleashing all her pent-up anger in a scathing tirade, giving him no chance to respond.

That night, while working at the fish shop, Jia Fan filleted fish alone, reminiscing about his experience on the runway and Han Yijing’s words. Distracted, he accidentally cut his hand.

Episode 3 Recap

Jia Fan lay on his bed, scrolling through reports about Han Yijing’s comeback after her car accident. He couldn’t help but marvel—wasn’t it just a job? How did her return seem like an entire regime change? Meanwhile, news about Han Yijing after her accident was everywhere, with endless rumors flooding the internet. The overwhelming pressure made it hard for her to breathe, but she could only endure it silently. Thankfully, her cat, Leica, stayed by her side.

At the hospital entrance, Ding Chen stopped Jia Fan, who was about to leave on his bike. He pointed at his bandaged foot—it was Jia Fan who had accidentally hit him with a fire extinguisher. Jia Fan felt deeply apologetic and treated Ding Chen to a meal. During their meal, Ding Chen brought up the earnings of a model.

Jia Fan was very interested and asked many questions, but then he suddenly received a call from Dong Xiaoru and rushed back home. His father had bruises all over his body from bumping into things while searching for his blood pressure medication due to his poor eyesight. Ding Chen later told Han Yijing about having a meal with Jia Fan. From the hospital, Han Yijing managed to get Jia Fan’s contact information.

Dong Xiaoru advised Jia Fan to think carefully before switching careers. Jia Fan knew that his father’s eyesight was beyond treatment—rather than staying by his side in a daze, it would be better to go out and take a leap of faith. Dong Xiaoru assured him that no matter what career he chose, she would fully support him.

Han Yijing texted Jia Fan, advising him not to participate in the open auditions, as he wouldn’t get selected anyway and shouldn’t waste time on meaningless things. Jia Fan had been hesitant, but upon reading her message, he instantly became fired up—he wanted to make Han Yijing see him in a new light. Han Yijing didn’t expect Jia Fan to be so persistent. Frustrated, she called him, but Jia Fan, upon realizing it was her, immediately hung up.

This only made Han Yijing angrier, so she went straight to the seafood market to confront him. Outside Jia Fan’s seafood shop, Han Yijing unexpectedly saw Qu Ruoqing. Qu Ruoqing was about to go abroad and wanted to have a farewell meal with Jia Fan before leaving. Jia Fan told her that she would definitely meet someone great. Just as Qu Ruoqing was about to say something, she suddenly noticed a suspicious figure nearby—Han Yijing, trying to sneak around.

After being recognized, Han Yijing quickly ran away but got lost in the market. Jia Fan managed to pull her into a small room, helping her escape the fans chasing after her. He warned her to wear a mask when going out in the future. Jia Fan told Dong Xiaoru that he was determined to participate in the auditions and asked her to help him prepare.

Dong Xiaoru agreed but made him promise that if he succeeded, she would be his exclusive stylist. Jia Fan gladly accepted. Dong Xiaoru devised a strict plan for Jia Fan, including dietary restrictions and a fitness regimen. She handled his styling, while for runway training, Jia Fan found a crash-course instructor—Shu Bo. However, Shu Bo told him that it was impossible to master the walk in less than two months. Jia Fan reasoned with him and successfully convinced him otherwise.

When Han Yijing discovered that Shu Bo was training Jia Fan, she immediately drove over. She threatened Shu Bo with operating without a license, forcing him to stop the training. Seeing this, Jia Fan surprised her by asking for her guidance instead. Han Yijing told him to close his eyes, and without another word, she directly snipped off the little tuft of hair he had tied up on his head.

Jia Fan then confronted her openly, saying that if she could make a comeback after hitting rock bottom, then he could too. No matter what, he wouldn’t give up.

Episode 4 Recap

Jia Fan saw Han Yijing’s advertisement at the bus stop and recalled her words to him: “Do what you should as soon as possible. You’re not cut out for the modeling industry, so stop dreaming. ” Anger surged within him. He wanted to stomp on and smash the billboard but couldn’t actually do it. Instead, he ended up drawing dark circles under Han Yijing’s eyes and adding a bunch of freckles to her face.

Han Yijing, watching his actions from a distance, seemed lost in thought. Shu Bo called Han Yijing to apologize, asking her not to tell President Ling. Han Yijing simply told him to handle it himself and not to drag her down with him. Back home, Jia Fan impulsively cut his own hair. The next day, he went to the studio for a photo shoot, telling the photographer he needed pictures for his résumé.

He spent ages striking different poses, leaving the photographer utterly confused. Dong Xiaoru assumed he hadn’t prepared properly, but Jia Fan, feeling wronged, insisted that he had spent all night practicing body movements. Dong Xiaoru sighed and told him that, for a beginner, the most important thing was to build confidence—excessive imitation would only make his movements stiffer. While stepping outside for some fresh air, Jia Fan noticed a photoshoot happening in the adjacent studio, featuring Han Yijing.

In front of the camera, she exuded confidence and charm, and every shot was flawless. Jia Fan let out a sigh and was about to leave when Han Yijing called out to him, reminding him that résumé photos were crucial and telling him to take them seriously. Even after adjusting his mindset, Jia Fan still looked lifeless, and his stiff posture resulted in unsatisfactory photos.

Seeing this, Han Yijing personally stepped in to adjust his outfit and advised him to embrace his imperfections. She told him to keep his gaze firm and try immersing himself in a familiar scene—such as imagining himself slicing raw fish. Sure enough, with her guidance, his performance improved significantly. Xing Mo reminded Han Yijing to stay neutral, as Jia Fan was a contestant.

Han Yijing explained that he reminded her of herself when she had just started, so she only wanted to help him—nothing more. Dong Xiaoru advised Jia Fan that since he had already made up his mind, he should set aside his pride. Attitude didn’t matter—results did. As they walked, they unknowingly arrived at Han Yijing’s advertisement board. Seeing her face defaced, Dong Xiaoru quickly took out a tissue to wipe it clean. Feeling guilty, Jia Fan rushed to help.

After they cleaned it up, Jia Fan stood in front of the advertisement, staring at Han Yijing’s photo. Coincidentally, Han Yijing passed by in a car and was stunned. "Wait… is he staring at me? "After registering, Jia Fan successfully made it into the competition. Outside of his regular work, he dedicated all his free time to training under Shu Bo’s guidance.

As the competition approached, Jia Fan was still nowhere to be found, leaving Dong Xiaoru frantic as she called him repeatedly. Meanwhile, Jia Fan, riding his electric scooter, suddenly blacked out and crashed hard to the ground. A passerby woke him up, and he struggled to his feet, clutching his guitar. However, before he could take another step, he completely collapsed.

The competition was in full swing, and just as Jia Fan’s group was about to finish their interview, he arrived, dragging his guitar behind him. Seeing the bloodstains on his sleeve, You Ning stepped up to speak on his behalf, and the judges agreed to give him a chance. However, when Jia Fan took out his guitar, he realized all the strings were broken.

Thinking quickly, he used the items from his bag to perform an impromptu coffee-making demonstration, serving a cup to each judge. For Han Yijing, he specially crafted a latte with a little white rabbit latte art. After showcasing his learning ability and determination, Jia Fan confidently answered Han Yijing’s question—he said that this time, he was doing it for his dream and was ready to fight for it.

Episode 5 Recap

Jia Fan went to the restroom to tend to his wound. On his way out, he bumped into You Ning. She told him that he had shown great sincerity and determination, which was commendable, but he shouldn’t have mentioned "The One" magazine. Jia Fan was confused, so You Ning reminded him that the moment he brought up that magazine, everyone’s expression darkened—especially Han Yijing. Regardless, she would support Jia Fan, and so would Han Yijing.

Shu Bo was very satisfied with Jia Fan’s runway walk, saying he did well. After returning home, Han Yijing took out a copy of "The One" magazine. It was the last magazine she appeared in before her car accident. She had a whole stack of them at home, and the photographer’s name, Liao Jinyuan, was prominently displayed on each cover. Dong Xiaoru told Jia Fan that "The One" magazine was Liao Jinyuan’s final work before disappearing.

He was once Han Yijing’s boyfriend, yet even after her accident left her hospitalized for three years, he never showed up. At home, Han Yijing drank alone, reminiscing about the accident. At that time, she had completely lost control—she was speeding on the highway while calling Liao Jinyuan, which led to a severe crash. Overnight, she lost her love, her career, and her health.

It was a devastating blow, but she faced the gossip and speculation with resilience, making a powerful comeback that silenced all those who doubted her. Bringing up such painful memories during the interview, Dong Xiaoru was secretly worried about Jia Fan’s competition prospects. Jia Fan, unaware of the backstory beforehand, could only resign himself to fate. Late at night, a tipsy Han Yijing, wearing a mask, stumbled into the seafood shop looking for Jia Fan, demanding to eat sashimi.

She even reached out to grab a lobster, only to be pinched, causing her to scream in pain. Jia Fan treated her wound while noticing how different she seemed from her usual cold and aloof self—drunk, she was naïve and adorable. Han Yijing tearfully said she had come for "The One" magazine. Even though it had been discontinued, she was shocked that he had managed to find a copy.

She insisted on reclaiming it and then suddenly burst into loud sobs, complaining that the lobster had hurt her too much. Jia Fan took Han Yijing home to find the magazine. Since his father wasn’t home, the two of them were alone. Jia Fan hurriedly retrieved the magazine for her. After getting her hands on it, Han Yijing asked for water. While Jia Fan went to get it, she ran up to the rooftop and tore the magazine to shreds.

After bringing her back downstairs, Han Yijing said she wanted to eat instant noodles. Jia Fan obediently cooked some for her. Seeing the table covered in her magazines, Han Yijing asked about them, but Jia Fan stubbornly claimed that Dong Xiaoru had bought them. When Jia Fan inquired about his interview results, Han Yijing told him she would give him some professional advice as a senior, without any personal bias.

She reminded him that modeling was a career dependent on youth, and at 25, he was already standing at the threshold. Jia Fan was about to retort but held back. Han Yijing then told him that she had given him the lowest score in history. After finishing her noodles, Han Yijing asked Jia Fan to take her home. On the way, she fell asleep on his shoulder.

Jia Fan recalled her words—modeling had a low entry barrier, but making it big was harder than reaching the heavens. The next morning, Han Yijing woke up in bed and suddenly remembered what had happened the night before at Jia Fan’s place. She screamed, exclaiming that she’d rather just die. President Ling, as Han Yijing’s aunt, expressed concern and urged her to prepare well for the Rachel brand endorsement.

However, Han Yijing refused, saying she didn’t want to take You Ning’s opportunity. President Ling, however, said it was the client’s decision.

Episode 6 Recap

You Ning was furious about the spokesperson change. She suddenly recalled her conversation with the brand about the spokesperson’s style. She suited a light luxury image, but Rachel’s new product line sought a healthy, sunny, and positive representative. You Ning insisted she could adapt her style and even subtly hinted that her endorsement fee should be doubled. This left the brand hesitant, unable to clearly state their decision to replace her.

Upon learning that Han Yijing had been chosen as the new spokesperson, You Ning was enraged. She went to Xing Mo’s bar to drink, shouting that she would make President Ling and Han Yijing pay the price. Xing Mo advised her to calm down, pointing out that an international brand like Rachel wouldn’t have let Han Yijing influence their decision. He urged her to move on. You Ning suspected that Xing Mo had feelings for Han Yijing.

Xing Mo didn’t deny it—he simply smiled and told her, “This stays between us. ” After reassuring You Ning, Xing Mo sent a message to President Ling, assuring her that everything was under control. Meanwhile, Han Yijing was debating how to message Jia Fan when Xing Mo’s call interrupted her. At the seafood shop, Dong Xiaoru was giving Jia Fan an intensive lesson on fashion terminology. Jia Fan had done his homework well and responded fluently.

The selection list was about to be announced, but the website encountered an issue, causing a delay. Han Yijing personally checked the list. Jia Fan received the message—he had been selected! Overjoyed, he and Dong Xiaoru jumped up and down in excitement. Jia Fan’s father, upon hearing the news, had mixed emotions. He visited Dr. Lin at the hospital and learned that Jia Fan had also been diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa.

He urged Jia Fan to quit his job, stop using knives, and avoid riding motorcycles to prevent injuries. However, Jia Fan refused—he wanted to live on his own terms. This disease was hereditary and difficult to cure, even with surgery. Jia Fan’s father confessed that he had once been a burden to Jia Fan’s mother. Hearing this, Jia Fan exploded in anger. He couldn’t stand seeing his father blame himself.

He stormed out, but as he ran, he suddenly fell heavily to the ground. Jia Fan failed to report in, and no one could reach him. It turned out he had been hospitalized after his fall. Dr. Lin advised him to be extra cautious at night and suggested he rest for a while before making any decisions. Meanwhile, Han Yijing secretly went to the hospital under the pretense of a facial treatment to have fluid drained from her knee.

The doctor warned her to wear high heels less often. When Jia Fan finally turned on his phone, he saw countless missed calls and messages. Unsure of how to respond, he hesitated—until Han Yijing called. But once again, he didn’t pick up. Following the ringtone, Han Yijing tracked Jia Fan down. Jia Fan admitted that he had entered the competition out of spite—he just wanted to prove himself.

He knew that modeling was a short-lived and unstable career, one that required endurance. But now, he felt like he couldn’t endure anymore. With the opportunity right in front of him, Han Yijing scolded Jia Fan for being a coward—he already had one foot in the door. At a bus stop, Jia Fan stared at an advertisement featuring Han Yijing, his emotions in turmoil. With only two days left before training camp, Dong Xiaoru was panicking.

She rushed to Jia Fan’s house and blocked him at the door. Jia Fan said he was better suited to being a “lazy fish” and had even quit working at the seafood shop. Tears streaming down her face, Dong Xiaoru declared that if he didn’t attend the rookie training, their friendship was over—they would never speak again. Jia Fan looked at the headshots he had taken for his portfolio and reflected on everything he had experienced since entering the competition. The truth was, no one was more heartbroken about this than he was.

Episode 7 Recap

Dong Xiaoru felt much better after learning from her mother that Jia Fan hadn’t quit his job but had only taken leave. It was Jia Fan’s father who had requested the leave on his behalf. During breakfast, his father told him that his mother’s dream when she was young was to become a model, but she had to give it up because of him.

Now that Jia Fan wanted to be a model, there was no reason not to support him—otherwise, he wouldn’t be able to face Jia Fan’s mother. The training camp began, but Jia Fan didn’t show up, causing Han Yijing’s mood to plummet. You Ning was also keeping an eye on Jia Fan. Xing Mo reminded You Ning to properly apologize to Han Yijing; otherwise, since she was always badmouthing Han Yijing, President Ling wouldn’t just let it slide.

The course started, and Han Yijing, as the fashion instructor, was teaching the new trainees. Just as she was about to demonstrate styling, Jia Fan pushed open the door and walked in. He apologized to everyone and explained that he wasn’t actually late—President Ling could vouch for him. Shu Bo was delighted that Jia Fan had come and quickly smoothed things over so the class could continue.

He suggested that Jia Fan be used as a model for Han Yijing’s demonstration. Han Yijing remarked that Jia Fan was hopeless and told him to hurry back to his seat. Instead, Jia Fan did the opposite—he offered to style Han Yijing. He chose a headband for her and picked out a pair of flats. Instantly, Han Yijing’s aura changed into that of the sweet girl next door.

The trainees all praised the new look, and even Han Yijing was quite pleased. President Ling was well aware of everything regarding Jia Fan. She appreciated his potential, but more importantly, she was using him to counter Xing Mo. After class, Han Yijing chased after Jia Fan to ask why he had shown up, but he dodged the question with a few vague words. He told Han Yijing that he would learn from her resilience and refusal to compromise.

Sincerely, he thanked her. Han Yijing had deliberately made things difficult for Jia Fan during class—because some trainees had issues with him, she intentionally acted angry and strict. This way, it would be easier for him to reintegrate into the group. Xing Mo met with President Ling over coffee. He remarked that this talent show had far exceeded expectations, so they could finally relax a little.

However, he himself had to remain on high alert to keep an eye on You Ning. President Ling told him that besides watching You Ning, he should also pay attention to Jia Fan. Jia Fan had both a story and potential—he was worth cultivating. Xing Mo understood what President Ling meant. Jia Fan reminded him of himself when he first started.

President Ling stated that since they had successfully made him into the ace of Model Road, Jia Fan could be shaped into one too. You Ning vented to Xing Mo about Jia Fan. She had a bold theory—maybe sparks would fly between Han Yijing and Jia Fan. After all, when men and women first meet, the fiercer they argue, the stronger the underlying tension. Sometimes, arguments lead to something more.

Xing Mo, impatient, replied that he had no interest in Han Yijing and Jia Fan’s affairs, then hung up the phone. Jia Fan ran into Xing Mo, who told him that the modeling competition had its own set of rules. Yet, Jia Fan had repeatedly broken them. If he really felt undeserving of his spot, then he should prove himself with results. Han Yijing wore the headband Jia Fan had chosen for her during the next class.

She stubbornly insisted that it wasn’t because he had good taste, but because she could pull off any style. At the welcoming event, You Ning gave every trainee a gift and didn’t forget to take a jab at Han Yijing for coming empty-handed. President Ling encouraged the trainees to work hard, stay confident, and perform well. Then came the newcomers' entrance test—the iconic floating runway. Each person had only one chance. Only those who passed successfully would be officially accepted into Model Road.

Episode 8 Recap

The floating runway was a mandatory initiation challenge. The newcomers initially thought it was impossible, but upon hearing that passing it would earn them a grand prize worth fifty thousand yuan, they were eager to give it a try. Unfortunately, the difficulty was too high—except for Zhou Lu, everyone before him failed. Jia Fan was the last to go.

He thought he had victory in his grasp, but just as he was about to finish, he lost his balance and fell into the water. Suddenly, Han Yijing felt pain in her leg. She hid it from those around her and went to the restroom. At that moment, You Ning suddenly stood up and suggested that the senior trainees demonstrate for the newcomers, letting them learn from the best of the elite team.

Han Yijing was put in a difficult position and had no choice but to step onto the floating runway. However, the pain in her knee was unbearable. She paused in the middle, but the pain didn’t subside, and in the end, she fell into the pool and fainted. When she woke up, Han Yijing brushed it off, saying she was just too tired and not in the right state.

President Ling told her that Jia Fan had saved her and warned her to keep her distance from him. She had high hopes for Jia Fan and didn’t want baseless rumors affecting his career as a model. President Ling was well aware of Jia Fan’s physical condition. In her eyes, the story of a seafood shop worker rising to become a famous model on the verge of blindness was enough to stir public discussion.

That night, Jia Fan practiced his runway walk alone on the floating T-stage. He fell into the water multiple times but refused to give up. Han Yijing came to the poolside and personally guided Jia Fan in his training. Sure enough, under her coaching, he became steadier with each step. Jia Fan bluntly pointed out that Han Yijing fell into the water earlier because of her leg pain. He advised her to take care of herself first.

Han Yijing, annoyed, pushed Jia Fan and told him it was none of his business. Jia Fan fell into the water, then stood up and told her, “Your body is your own. You’re already at a height where people look up to you—there’s no need to push yourself too hard. ”Han Yijing asked Jia Fan to accompany her somewhere. Jia Fan quickly climbed ashore and eagerly followed her.

This scene was caught by You Ning, who happened to be passing by. She immediately took out her phone and recorded it. Xing Mo went to see President Ling, confused about why she was promoting Jia Fan so aggressively. Did she intend to turn him into another You Ning? President Ling didn’t give him a direct answer. Xing Mo stated that he had worked tirelessly just to prove himself to her.

He didn’t want to compete with anyone, nor did he want to become like her—an emotionless machine who only focused on work. President Ling reminded Xing Mo to stay in his lane and not overstep his boundaries. The next morning, Jia Fan woke up in the car and saw Han Yijing still asleep beside him. She looked peaceful and gentle. Just then, his phone rang, startling Han Yijing awake.

She nervously asked Jia Fan if she had done anything while asleep. Jia Fan looked at her and said, “Your makeup is smudged. ”Han Yijing checked the mirror and realized—she wasn’t even wearing makeup in the first place. As the newcomers went for their morning run, Jia Fan quietly slipped out of the car, leaving Han Yijing behind. It turned out that they had gone to the seaside the night before to watch the sunrise.

Their work was so hectic that they rarely had the time to even look up at the sky. Jia Fan recalled the time when his father’s eye condition worsened. He had waited an entire week in the hospital to see a sunrise, but it rained continuously for seven days. Later, he wrote a wish list, but unfortunately, he lost it. Han Yijing asked if it was Heng Tai Hospital and then urged him to tell her what was on the list.

It turned out that she was the one who had found it. Three years ago, during Han Yijing’s car accident, she had been in utter despair and was about to jump off a building. At that moment, she found Jia Fan’s wish list. She never imagined that someone would be fighting so hard just to fulfill such simple wishes. If he could persevere, then she had no reason to give up either.

Han Yijing was deeply grateful to Jia Fan—he was the reason she survived back then. Although the weather forecast had predicted a cloudy day, the sun unexpectedly rose above the sea.

Episode 9 Recap

On the way back after watching the sunrise, Han Yijing fell asleep. When they arrived at the training base, Jia Fan gently woke her up. Half-asleep, Han Yijing murmured that she had a wish—to have a good sleep somewhere other than home or a hotel. Jia Fan smiled and wished her dream would come true. Then, he quietly unfastened her seatbelt and adjusted her seat for her.

At the seaside, Jia Fan and Han Yijing relaxed, not thinking about anything, just playing around. All of Han Yijing’s stress instantly vanished. As Jia Fan watched her sleeping, his heartbeat quickened, and his face grew warm. He originally planned to get out of the car, but the moment he opened the door, he regretted it. So, he stayed inside and fell asleep alongside Han Yijing.

At the company, President Ling saw a familiar silhouette that made her heart skip a beat. She immediately checked on Han Yijing’s whereabouts and ordered that she not be allowed to wander around. Han Yijing returned home and looked at Jia Fan’s wish list. Just then, her phone rang—it was a news report announcing that she had become the new spokesperson for Rachel.

She called Shu Bo, who explained that the brand had been urging them, so they released the news early. At that moment, You Ning arrived. Over the phone, she apologized to Han Yijing and begged her not to accept the Rachel endorsement. Han Yijing replied that it wasn’t her decision to make and that she hadn’t stolen the endorsement.

You Ning angrily threw her phone aside and threatened Han Yijing to just wait and see—right as President Ling walked in and overheard. With no room for negotiation left, You Ning broke down crying in her car. Suddenly, she remembered the secretly taken photos of Han Yijing. She then called someone saved in her contacts as "HJ. "Meanwhile, Dong Xiaoru’s mother was grilling meat on the rooftop, preparing a celebration feast for Jia Fan.

Dong Xiaoru gifted Jia Fan a piece of clothing, and Jia Fan’s father gave him a scale, hoping he would persevere—whether he succeeded or not didn’t matter, as long as he was happy. Dong Xiaoru’s mother reminded Jia Fan not to quit his job at the seafood store before achieving his dream, or she would revoke his shares. The four of them happily drank, grilled meat, and watched movies on the rooftop.

Jia Fan even put on a runway walk performance for them. President Ling brought herbal tea to Han Yijing. Han Yijing urged her to pay more attention to You Ning. President Ling, however, told her that she was born to be a model, and this was the path she chose herself—no one forced her. Since she chose it, she had to see it through, no matter how hard it got.

You Ning met with Huang Jinde and handed him the photos, claiming that Han Yijing was using work as an excuse to have secret midnight meetings with a young boy. Huang Jinde told her the photos were too blurry and that if she wanted to expose something, she needed solid evidence; otherwise, she’d just be making it easier for others to benefit while bringing trouble upon herself.

You Ning said she could keep an eye on Han Yijing, and she didn’t care if random people were interested in Han Yijing’s private life—what she cared about was the Rachel contract. The newcomers’ debut event would be live-streamed, and Huang Jinde made sure to pay special attention to Jia Fan. Han Yijing accepted Jia Fan’s friend request and used the excuse of forgetting her car keys to return to the company.

Coincidentally, she ran into Jia Fan at the elevator. Inside, Jia Fan congratulated Han Yijing on signing the endorsement deal. Han Yijing complimented his live-stream performance and told him to treat her to grilled chicken feet as a celebration. Jia Fan thanked her for sharing but said he’d go next time, leaving Han Yijing fuming. But before she could argue, he quickly slipped into her car and said they should go together.

While eating chicken feet, Han Yijing brought up the wish list, questioning why such a simple wish even needed to be written down. Jia Fan casually replied that the important part wasn’t the chicken feet—it was eating them with a girlfriend. Han Yijing was so startled that she quickly took a sip of water, only to realize she had grabbed Jia Fan’s cup by mistake. After the meal, Han Yijing decided to exercise—starting with a three-kilometer power walk.

Jia Fan, concerned about her knee, crouched down and fastened her shoelaces for her. Han Yijing gently brushed a leaf off Jia Fan’s head. Jia Fan then tied his hand to Han Yijing’s and said, “Since we’re walking, our pace should match. ”Unbeknownst to them, a hidden camera captured the entire scene.

Episode 10 Recap

Jia Fan told Han Yijing that this park was full of couples on dates at night, so even if someone saw them, they would just assume they were a couple on a date—there was no need to worry. However, as soon as he finished speaking, Jia Fan realized someone was following them. He quickly pulled Han Yijing back to the car and then, using the excuse of going to the restroom, retraced their steps—just in time to catch Huang Jinde.

Jia Fan snatched the camera, took out the memory card, and then returned the camera to Huang Jinde. Jia Fan told Han Yijing that whenever she was alone, she must lock the car doors. He then told her to sit in the passenger seat while he drove her home. At home, You Ning looked at herself in the mirror, practicing her lines and venting about her unhappy upbringing.

Her father was never responsible, and her parents were still in the middle of a messy divorce. In such circumstances, it was President Ling who took her in, allowing her to study and live alongside Han Yijing. Later, they debuted together, leading to where she was today. But now, she kept disappointing President Ling and breaking her heart. After finishing her monologue, she should have been in tears, but she couldn’t cry at all.

Just as she was getting frustrated, her phone rang. Huang Jinde informed her that the secret photos had been discovered and that Jia Fan was not someone to be messed with. He advised her to lay low for a while. Han Yijing wanted to know what Jia Fan had gone back to do, but he refused to tell her. Han Yijing reminded him to never accept fate or compromise and to always follow through on his words.

When Jia Fan got home, he looked at the secretly taken photos and sighed—if these were leaked, it would basically be an official announcement. After replying to Han Yijing’s message, he happily continued admiring the photos, leaving Han Yijing feeling restless and impatient. Over at Rachel’s marketing department, they came up with a new idea for an advertisement. Han Yijing was already confirmed as the female lead, and they were considering boldly casting a newcomer as the male lead.

At the training room, Han Yijing announced that she wanted to treat the newcomers to a meal. Jia Fan made excuses not to go, but Han Yijing insisted that no one should be left out. She presented herself as approachable, telling everyone that from now on, they were family. She promised she had no hidden agendas and absolutely no inappropriate thoughts toward anyone. The others awkwardly chuckled, thinking there was no way such a situation would ever arise.

The competition for Rachel’s male brand ambassador had begun, and all the newcomers received the notice. Each of them needed to submit a two-minute video the next day. After dinner, Han Yijing sent Shu Bo away and then stared straight into Jia Fan’s eyes, asking, “Are you hiding something? Have you fallen for me? ” Jia Fan was momentarily speechless. Just then, some fans nearby started taking photos, giving Jia Fan the perfect excuse to slip away.

Ding Chen and Li Haoran extended training for the newcomers, deliberately making things harder for Jia Fan, forcing him to practice until 11 PM. Meanwhile, You Ning went to Xing Mo’s bar to find him. She drank for most of the night but never saw him. The moment Han Yijing arrived, though, You Ning fled in embarrassment. Unable to keep a secret, she immediately confessed to President Ling about the secret photos.

President Ling noticed Jia Fan was still at the company late at night. She advised him to break people’s stereotypes of him and to showcase his unique warmth and relatability. By the time Jia Fan got home, his father was already asleep. He began preparing his vlog, highlighting his strengths—even his flaws didn’t matter. The newcomers uploaded their videos. Jia Fan took a different approach and uploaded a video Dong Xiaoru’s mother had filmed during their rooftop barbecue.

The online votes came in. Ding Chen had the highest votes, but public opinion about him was polarizing. On the other hand, Jia Fan felt more grounded and relatable. In the end, Jia Fan emerged as the winner.

Episode 11 Recap

Ding Chen felt unbalanced after losing. He couldn't accept that Jia Fan, a rookie who had just entered the modeling industry, had won. He went to the training room to confront Jia Fan, accusing him of lacking real ability but having plenty of tricks, saying that he only got to where he was because of Han Yijing and President Ling. In the end, he was nothing more than someone who relied on connections.

Jia Fan ignored him, while the other newcomers defended him. Ding Chen sneered, saying that Jia Fan was just using his father’s poor eyesight to gain sympathy and attract attention. Jia Fan couldn't take it anymore and was about to punch Ding Chen, but the others held him back.

Just then, Xing Mo arrived and said that the brand had its own standards—if Ding Chen had a problem, he should take it up with the brand, otherwise, he should shut up and focus on what he should be doing. On his way out, Xing Mo ran into President Ling. He congratulated her on getting what she wanted. President Ling told him that she would arrange new work for him through the business department.

Xing Mo responded indifferently, saying he would follow whatever arrangements were made. That night, President Ling went to Xing Mo’s bar to find him, but he wasn’t there. He was at a basketball court playing alone, his phone left aside. Meanwhile, in the training room, Jia Fan thought about Ding Chen’s words from earlier in the day, feeling conflicted. When Xing Mo returned to the bar, he saw President Ling coming out.

He took a few steps forward to confirm, but in the end, he didn’t call out to her. Han Yijing came to the training room with champagne to celebrate with Jia Fan. She said that causing a little commotion wasn’t a bad thing. The whole endorsement matter had made a lot of people in the company unhappy, and in the end, Ding Chen just served as an outlet for their frustration.

It also forced Xing Mo to make a public stance, which actually made things easier. She told him that with so many people wanting this opportunity, getting scolded a bit was nothing. Jia Fan chuckled and said he would take her as an example. With the tension gone, Han Yijing shook the champagne bottle, saying they could finally celebrate. Jia Fan quickly tried to dodge, but he still got sprayed with quite a bit.

The two of them started chasing and teasing each other, the air filled with a pink, romantic atmosphere. At the doorway, a figure watched them for a long time without leaving. Han Yijing said she would give him another bottle when he officially became the brand ambassador. Jia Fan replied that he should be the one giving her a bottle, as she was already the ambassador.

Han Yijing said that after teaching him so much, one bottle of champagne wasn’t enough. Jia Fan asked her what she wanted. Han Yijing told him that no matter what happened, he was never allowed to keep his distance from her. Jia Fan said that was a gift he could give—starting from now, as long as Han Yijing didn’t block him, he would always be there.

Fueled by the effects of the alcohol, Han Yijing couldn’t hold back and leaned in to kiss Jia Fan. He responded to her. You Ning saw a shadow flash by and instinctively called out. To her surprise, she saw Han Yijing and Jia Fan walking out of the training room together. The two looked guilty for a moment. You Ning smoothed things over, jokingly asking if they were secretly celebrating.

On the way home, You Ning directly asked Han Yijing if she and Jia Fan were now together. Han Yijing didn’t reply, but from her expression, You Ning could already tell the answer. She made Han Yijing promise that even if Liao Jinyuan returned, she wouldn’t have anything to do with him anymore. Han Yijing thought back to when Liao Jinyuan had proposed to her, feeling a wave of emotions.

When Jia Fan got home, his father seriously reminded him to hurry up and find a girlfriend. Jia Fan carefully placed the champagne glasses and bottle from the celebration on the table. The next day, Han Yijing couldn’t stop thinking about kissing Jia Fan. She even started hallucinating about it. Covering her face with her hat, she blushed and muttered, “No way, there’s no way I like Jia Fan.

”Han Yijing, claiming she had low blood sugar, went to the seafood market to find Jia Fan and eat seafood. Her assistant, Si Min, and Shu Bo tagged along. Jia Fan’s father and Dong Xiaoru’s family were also there. Everyone sat together, the atmosphere initially feeling strange and awkward. But after they started eating, the mood quickly warmed up.

Episode 12 Recap

Han Yijing met with Jia Fan alone and explained that what happened that night was all because of the alcohol. She had lost control because she was drunk, but it really wasn’t sexual harassment. He could even think of it as a lesson—after all, filming commercials would also involve kiss scenes. She apologized and hoped he could forget about that night. As compensation, she would help him prepare for Rachel’s shoot.

Jia Fan said he could promise not to sue her for sexual harassment, but it was impossible to pretend nothing had happened. Han Yijing and Jia Fan thought they had hidden things well and that no one was paying attention, but in reality, their every move had been captured by someone with a camera. Meanwhile, You Ning went to a café to meet with Tina from the magazine regarding the inaugural issue.

Tina said she had no say in the editor-in-chief’s decisions, but she also didn’t know who the editor-in-chief was. The brand’s new product was sunscreen, and to better showcase it, they chose a skateboarding scene. They assured that a stunt double would be available but still required the ambassador to perform a few tricks. With less than a week left, Jia Fan said he had no problem with it—Han Yijing had already given him intensive training.

The company hired a coach for Jia Fan, but his training didn’t go well—he kept falling. Xing Mo told Jia Fan that he should focus on looking good rather than perfecting the technique. Jia Fan said he wanted both. Xing Mo reminded him that filming a commercial wasn’t a competition—expressiveness mattered more than skill.

The key was to ensure every move looked good on camera, as the true star of an advertisement was always the product; people were just there to showcase it. After saying this, Xing Mo personally stepped in to guide Jia Fan. Jia Fan asked him why he was helping. Xing Mo replied that it was all for the sake of "Model Road"—this was the same path he had taken.

Jia Fan apologized to Xing Mo, but Xing Mo simply told him to focus on doing the commercial well and not let people inferior to him take his place. Outside the company, Han Yijing waited to drive Jia Fan home. Jia Fan said he felt truly lucky to have so many good people helping him and promised that he would work hard. Rachel’s shoot was rescheduled from 11 AM to 9 AM, leaving Jia Fan completely bewildered.

He only found out after arriving at the company—thankfully, Han Yijing was waiting for him. The notification had been sent out the night before, but they couldn’t reach Jia Fan, so they had informed Xing Mo instead, as the two happened to be together at the time. However, Xing Mo’s phone wasn’t with him then—Li Haoran had later picked it up.

At the shoot, President Ling spotted Xing Mo and shot him an angry glare without saying a word, leaving him confused about what he had done wrong. Due to morning rush hour traffic, President Ling personally went to the director to buy some time. Eventually, with Dong Xiaoru’s help, Jia Fan rushed to the set on an electric scooter, but he was still over 30 minutes late.

Director Zhang was already losing his temper, but in the end, the shoot proceeded smoothly. Han Yijing assumed that Xing Mo had deliberately caused trouble and scolded him without reason. Xing Mo was upset—not only had he been wrongly blamed, but after so many years of knowing each other, there was still so little trust between them. On the way to the set, Jia Fan had fallen and injured his arm.

Han Yijing told him to go to the hospital, but Jia Fan insisted he could endure it—he had come so far and didn’t want to give up now. When the shoot began, despite being suspended on wires, Jia Fan pushed through the pain and performed his moves. The first take went well, but when Director Zhang asked for a second take, Jia Fan kept making mistakes.

You Ning, who had been secretly paying attention after hearing about Jia Fan’s injury, noticed his repeated errors. She immediately told Xing Mo to get ready to step in. Jia Fan fell again and made another mistake. Unable to hold back any longer, Director Zhang stormed forward in frustration. President Ling quickly stepped in and asked the director to give Jia Fan a short break to adjust his condition.

Episode 13 Recap

Xing Mo approached Han Yijing and, for Jia Fan’s sake, urged her to convince him to go to the hospital. Han Yijing didn’t want Jia Fan to lose this opportunity, but Xing Mo reminded her that this shoot was difficult—it wasn’t something he could just fake by striking a few poses. Jia Fan was still young, and Xing Mo assumed Han Yijing wouldn’t want him to end up like her in the future.

Han Yijing no longer insisted, so Xing Mo went to President Ling and suggested replacing Jia Fan. After weighing the options, Jia Fan was replaced. Jia Fan found it hard to accept this reality. Han Yijing told him, “You said that if I told you to stop, you’d listen to me. ”Ding Chen mentioned Jia Fan’s situation to Li Haoran, then muttered to himself that there might be something suspicious about it. Li Haoran remained silent.

Jia Fan walked out of the hospital with his left arm wrapped in bandages. Han Yijing stepped forward and took his X-ray film to examine it. Just as Jia Fan was about to joke, Han Yijing, with a serious face, said that eight years ago, she had raised a dog and was surprised to find that a dog’s bones looked exactly like a human’s.

Jia Fan asked Han Yijing to lift the film, pointed to a spot, and said, “Look, there’s a heart right there. Your dog didn’t have that, did it? ”Han Yijing, feeling shy, replied, “No. ”Then Jia Fan leaned close to Han Yijing’s ear and whispered, “I’ll give it to you. ”Xing Mo returned to the bar and saw Ding Chen and Li Haoran. He shoved the drunken Ding Chen aside and confronted Li Haoran alone.

Li Haoran admitted that he had secretly checked Xing Mo’s phone and answered the company’s call. Jia Fan also knew that someone had manipulated things behind the scenes, but he was still happy that the commercial had been successfully completed. Han Yijing assured him that it was definitely not Xing Mo’s doing. After calming down and thinking it through, she realized she understood Xing Mo’s personality very well.

He was just like her—only doing what he was supposed to do, never explaining himself, appearing distant and aloof, but ultimately someone who could be completely trusted. Xing Mo quietly picked up the shattered glass on the floor and treated his own wounds. He recalled his past life in the streets when he was once ambushed by a gang and fought them alone.

As he was leaving after the fight, he happened to run into President Ling, who had just stepped out. She was shocked by the scene and froze in place. One of the men who had been knocked down suddenly got up and threw a brick at them. Xing Mo shielded President Ling and took the hit directly, landing himself in the hospital. At that time, President Ling had suggested that he try a different path and consider becoming a model.

Xing Mo later found President Ling and deliberately played the role of a troublemaker, saying, “I took advantage of the situation. After all, I’m just a little punk, right? ”President Ling knew Xing Mo’s temperament well—he always acted self-destructive when he was feeling down. If he had something to say, he wouldn’t say it outright. But she already understood the whole situation and knew it had nothing to do with him. Xing Mo could no longer suppress his emotions.

He confessed that from the very beginning—whether it was speaking up for Jia Fan, training him, or even stepping in to replace him during the shoot—everything he had done was for her. He was willing to do anything for her. Han Yijing took Jia Fan home and even accompanied him upstairs.

Jia Fan invited her to admire the night view with him and admitted that the reason he was working so hard was to move into a luxurious home and give his father a better life. Han Yijing didn’t shy away from talking about her own family either. Her parents had divorced, her mother moved abroad without taking her, and later passed away. She had been raised by her aunt, President Ling.

Han Yijing said she felt cold, and Jia Fan pulled her into an embrace—only to be interrupted by a phone call. Han Yijing then invited Jia Fan to be her date for a brand’s party. Jia Fan agreed, then kissed Han Yijing.

Episode 14 Recap

The newcomers were discussing the situation—some wanted to stand up for Jia Fan, while others felt it had nothing to do with them. Wu Ming announced that he would be their supervisor from now on and that there would be an upcoming assessment. Those who performed well would receive their own model cards and officially become models. You Ning went to the company to see President Ling, begging for a chance to attend the party.

However, President Ling told her to stay home for now. Li Haoran also went to see President Ling but didn’t get the chance to speak before she left. He caught up with her, and she told him that she had already figured out the truth through surveillance footage. Li Haoran asked her not to misunderstand Xing Mo and said he was willing to bear all the consequences.

President Ling replied that the company was already drafting a contract termination letter and that they would contact him when it was ready. Jia Fan went to the hospital for an eye check-up. The doctor looked at his report with a serious expression and stared at him for a long time, making Jia Fan break out in a cold sweat—only for the doctor to reveal he was joking.

The doctor told Jia Fan that his condition hadn’t worsened but that he still needed to be careful. He was also happy to hear that Jia Fan was in a relationship, as a good mood would help with his recovery. Shu Bo teased Han Yijing about choosing Jia Fan as her date. Han Yijing explained that it was to attract more students to his training class.

Besides, choosing a newcomer instead of someone of equal status to make a statement at an important event made her seem more open-minded and selfless as a senior. Xing Mo walked into the dressing room. Han Yijing was lying on the sofa, while Xing Mo sat in front of the makeup table. They both stole glances at each other but remained silent. Dong Xiaoru wanted to be Jia Fan’s stylist for the party, but Jia Fan refused.

He said that since his date was a big name, he had to prepare properly. Dong Xiaoru told him that there was no one in this world he wasn’t worthy of—except for Han Yijing. Jia Fan glanced at Dong Xiaoru, and from his expression, she realized that his date was indeed Han Yijing. Neither Han Yijing nor Xing Mo wanted to speak first in the dressing room.

In the end, Han Yijing couldn’t hold back, walked in circles around Xing Mo, and finally conveyed Jia Fan’s gratitude. Xing Mo responded indifferently. Han Yijing then said that what happened that day wasn’t her fault—it was his own fault for not saying anything. As soon as she finished speaking, Xing Mo said, “Because you like him. ”Han Yijing didn’t deny it. Xing Mo reminded her that he wasn’t the only one who understood her—President Ling did too.

He hoped she wouldn’t repeat past mistakes. Han Yijing, fully disguised, squatted in the bushes waiting for Jia Fan. Jia Fan had also gone to great lengths to disguise himself. The two of them sneaked off for their first date, and Han Yijing chose a vegetable market as the location. They enthusiastically evaluated the vegetables—Jia Fan focused on how they tasted, while Han Yijing was more concerned about their calorie count.

Even though they were fully covered with masks and wigs, a fruit vendor still recognized Jia Fan, prompting him to grab Han Yijing and run away. Jia Fan taught Han Yijing how to slice fish fillets. Han Yijing laughed, saying that she was the center of attention on the runway, while he was the highlight of the market. They were the same—just in different fields, evenly matched. Jia Fan, grinning, said that he was famous for having thick skin.

The two of them were a perfect match. He liked her and was willing to do whatever it took, no matter the cost. Now that their relationship was confirmed, traces of each other began appearing in their rooms. Jia Fan’s room had printed-out, secretly taken photos, while Han Yijing’s room displayed Jia Fan’s X-ray from his arm fracture—with the heart-shaped bone circled in red. Jia Fan and Han Yijing attended the Visionary Party in full glam.

Wu Ming chuckled, saying they looked good together, so it was only natural that people would misunderstand their relationship. Just as he finished speaking, Xing Mo arrived with a female companion. Wu Ming turned to President Ling and said, “If you and Xing Mo show up together, people will misunderstand too. ”Only then did President Ling realize that the outfit she was wearing had been put together by Xing Mo.

Han Yijing introduced Jia Fan to many influential figures at the event. President Ling reminded Han Yijing to be careful with her words and actions if she wanted to secure a magazine cover. Although You Ning had been banned from attending, she still sneaked in. She was determined to meet the editor-in-chief. Jia Fan noticed her and informed Xing Mo. As the party officially started, the editor-in-chief made an appearance.

To everyone’s surprise, the person who took the stage was Liao Jinyuan. After his speech, Liao Jinyuan walked directly toward Han Yijing. Realizing something was wrong, Jia Fan quickly stepped in to rescue her, and they left together. President Ling rushed forward to confront Liao Jinyuan, but Xing Mo stopped her, saying that he would handle it.

Episode 15 Recap

Jia Fan sat silently in the car, accompanying Han Yijing. When she recovered, she said she was hungry, but since she was wearing an evening gown, Jia Fan suggested she go home and rest early. She refused, so Jia Fan held her hand and suggested they go for a drive. Back then, when Han Yijing woke up from her car accident, she saw a figure flash past the hospital room door.

She knew he had come, so she rushed out despite her injuries. However, as soon as she stepped outside, Si Min stopped her and told her that she had been trying to contact Liao Jinyuan this whole time but couldn't reach him. Aside from her, there was no one else here. Han Yijing broke down, crying uncontrollably, and could only deceive herself, thinking that maybe Liao Jinyuan hadn't seen the news. That figure was indeed Liao Jinyuan.

After leaving the hospital, he ran into President Ling, who warned him to stay away from Han Yijing. She promised to do everything she could to get Han Yijing back on the runway. She also reminded him that since he had made a promise, he had to keep it—he must not see her for three years. Otherwise, they would go down together. Liao Jinyuan left in tears. Xing Mo and Liao Jinyuan met up for drinks, reminiscing about old times.

They hadn’t seen each other for three years, and now Liao Jinyuan had become a chief editor. Xing Mo pressed him on why he had returned, but Liao Jinyuan refused to answer. Xing Mo welcomed him back—not as photographer Liao Jinyuan, but as Editor-in-Chief Leslie. That night, Han Yijing, Jia Fan, and President Ling all found themselves unable to sleep. Jia Fan looked up Liao Jinyuan’s information and thought about calling him but never dialed the number.

Han Yijing stared at the limited-edition necklace Liao Jinyuan had given her when he proposed. Just as she was about to throw it in the trash, her phone rang. Liao Jinyuan, drunk, wanted to see her. Han Yijing hung up the call and then threw the necklace away. Jia Fan stood outside Han Yijing’s home, watching until the lights inside went out. While working at the seafood store, Jia Fan overheard Dong Xiaoru complimenting how handsome Leslie was.

His competitive spirit flared up immediately, leaving Dong Xiaoru bewildered. She asked who he met at the party that night, and Jia Fan angrily replied that he saw Liao Jinyuan. Dong Xiaoru, after hearing Han Yijing’s reaction, commented that women often say one thing and mean another—the more they avoid something, the more it matters to them. The more hatred they express, the deeper their love truly is.

Han Yijing performed well during the magazine shoot, and the director was very pleased. Back in the dressing room, President Ling told her she could skip the dinner gathering and go straight home. Han Yijing refused, saying she had already adjusted herself and wouldn’t be affected by emotions. With just a few words, President Ling saw through her act. Before leaving, she warned Han Yijing that if she let Liao Jinyuan shake her resolve again, she would never help her again.

Si Min showed Han Yijing a video of You Ning making a scene at the party and joked that at least she hadn’t been scared to death that night. Wu Ming showed the video to You Ning and then handed her a contract termination agreement. However, You Ning wasn’t the least bit concerned about the contract—she was more interested in getting Liao Jinyuan’s contact information from Wu Ming. Xing Mo brought new dishes from the bar for President Ling, who declined.

However, she still stopped him to ask about Liao Jinyuan. Xing Mo explained that in just three years, Liao Jinyuan had climbed from a photographer to an executive editor. The hardships and sacrifices he had endured were unimaginable. His return now came with high stakes—he had likely poured everything into his work for the past two years. As for relationships, Xing Mo said, “That’s a matter of personal will—there’s nothing to prevent. ”Hearing this, President Ling felt slightly better.

Xing Mo immediately tried to coax her into eating, but before she could eat much, a phone call interrupted them. Jia Fan was selected as a candidate for the magazine cover, surprising Han Yijing. Jia Fan’s father shared his own experiences in pursuing Jia Fan’s mother. After hearing the advice, Jia Fan immediately went to put it into action, grabbing a plate of salmon sashimi as he headed out—only to run into Han Yijing, who had brought chicken feet.

President Ling met with Liao Jinyuan and asked why he had chosen Jia Fan as a candidate for the cover of the first issue. Liao Jinyuan simply said there was no need for him to explain. Meanwhile, Han Yijing told Jia Fan everything about her past with Liao Jinyuan. President Ling warned Liao Jinyuan to keep his distance from Han Yijing, but Liao Jinyuan made it clear—he couldn’t do that.

Episode 16 Recap

Jia Fan was delighted that Han Yijing was honest about her past with Liao Jinyuan and even insisted on styling him personally, as no one knew Liao Jinyuan better than she did. Hearing this, Jia Fan immediately became jealous, and Han Yijing quickly stuffed a chicken foot into his mouth in a playful attempt to appease him. At the bar, You Ning sobered up, and Li Haoran asked about her feelings for Liao Jinyuan.

She shyly smiled and recounted how Liao Jinyuan had always known how she felt. It was on a stormy afternoon six years ago (which was actually a sunny and pleasant day) at a very romantic noodle shop (which was actually just a street-side ramen stall). That day, You Ning had vented about her family and work troubles, even saying she wanted to die. Liao Jinyuan told her that she was simply lacking comfort.

After persuading her to eat a bowl of ramen topped with scallions, he told her that her parents' divorce had no real impact on her life and that if work didn’t go well, she could always strive for another opportunity—none of it was truly a problem. Looking at Liao Jinyuan at that moment, You Ning couldn’t help but blurt out, “I think I might like you. ”Liao Jinyuan quickly explained that he only saw her as a younger sister.

Li Haoran advised You Ning to focus on resolving her contract termination first, but as soon as she saw any news about Liao Jinyuan, she immediately disappeared. Han Yijing took Jia Fan to a local market to look for clothes and even called Dong Xiaoru to join them. Meanwhile, You Ning brought ramen to Liao Jinyuan’s hotel, saying she was there to apologize for what had happened at the party.

Once inside, she carefully prepared the ramen and sprinkled scallions on top, recalling that Liao Jinyuan once said scallions were the soul of ramen. Once again, You Ning confessed her feelings—just as she had six years ago. Startled, Liao Jinyuan quickly changed the subject. Han Yijing and Dong Xiaoru helped Jia Fan pick out clothes, deliberately choosing styles that matched Liao Jinyuan’s taste. At the magazine interview, Liao Jinyuan was the chief interviewer.

The tension between him and Jia Fan was palpable, as they subtly but pointedly exchanged words. Jia Fan declared that he never considered his competitors as rivals—just as air. Like Han Yijing, his greatest strength was refusing to accept fate. The team found Jia Fan very likable, but since he was a newcomer with little recognition, they suggested a dual cover featuring Han Yijing alongside him.

After the interview, Han Yijing and Dong Xiaoru celebrated with Jia Fan, but Jia Fan remained skeptical, saying it was better not to get his hopes up. Liao Jinyuan secretly investigated Jia Fan, claiming it wasn’t for the cover but for other reasons. Dong Xiaoru asked Han Yijing why she was so good to Jia Fan. Han Yijing simply replied that he was tall, young, and full of potential.

Han Yijing’s leg pain flared up, prompting her to rush home to take medicine. Unfortunately, Si Min saw everything and pressed her for answers. Han Yijing hastily made up an excuse to cover it up. Si Min later discussed Han Yijing’s recent changes with Shu Bo. Shu Bo advised her not to take Liao Jinyuan too seriously and to treat him as invisible, carrying on as usual.

Wu Ming informed President Ling about the dual-cover decision, thinking it was a great opportunity for Jia Fan. However, President Ling suspected Liao Jinyuan’s true intention wasn’t the cover—it was Han Yijing. Liao Jinyuan personally inspected the photoshoot set, coincidentally arriving when Han Yijing was the model. Watching her elegant presence on stage, he was reminded of their past, when he had been the photographer capturing her images. His emotions grew complicated.

Si Min noticed Liao Jinyuan and deliberately positioned herself in his line of sight, blocking him from looking at Han Yijing. She also shielded Han Yijing from noticing him. Shu Bo informed Han Yijing about the dual cover, but before she could react, a drink from Liao Jinyuan was delivered to her. That night, Liao Jinyuan drank excessively, and Jia Fan answered his phone without permission, discovering that he had been investigating him.

Annoyed, Jia Fan dumped Liao Jinyuan onto a park bench and left him there. The next day, Liao Jinyuan learned that the magazine’s sponsor wanted to increase their investment, but only if Han Yijing was on the cover—meaning Jia Fan’s participation was also necessary. Frustrated, Liao Jinyuan shouted that originally, Jia Fan was the one being selected, but now their magazine had become the backup option instead. Han Yijing told President Ling that she agreed to be on the cover, but since it was a dual feature, Jia Fan had to be included as well.

Episode 17 Recap

Wu Ming invited Jia Fan for coffee and asked him who treated him the best in the entire Moyi Road. Jia Fan found the question strange and listed several names, but in the end, Wu Ming pointed out that Han Yijing was the one who cared for him the most—he had never seen her be so attentive to anyone else. Liao Jinyuan approached Han Yijing, wanting to talk. Han Yijing told him she already had a boyfriend.

Liao Jinyuan guessed it was Jia Fan, and Han Yijing did not deny it. Wu Ming informed Jia Fan that Qixiang Magazine had confirmed a dual cover featuring him and Han Yijing. Liao Jinyuan knew Han Yijing well—she would reject anything related to him. Han Yijing saw through his intentions: by making it a dual cover, if she refused, Jia Fan would also lose the opportunity, which might even strain their relationship.

Liao Jinyuan admitted that was exactly what he intended. Meanwhile, Jia Fan also turned it down, telling Wu Ming that Han Yijing had already helped him so much, and he didn’t want to take advantage of her this time. Han Yijing said she accepted Liao Jinyuan’s apology, but she would never forgive him. As for the cover, she agreed and would convince President Ling. Back when Han Yijing was still unknown, Liao Jinyuan had been her photographer.

While adjusting her hairstyle between shots, he casually brushed her hair aside, and that small gesture sparked mutual feelings between them. Liao Jinyuan deliberately got closer to Han Yijing, treating her with exceptional care, and Han Yijing found herself falling for him. One night, Liao Jinyuan received a voice message from President Ling. It was a recording from a year ago, when he had drunkenly bragged to colleagues that photographing Han Yijing had led to her becoming his girlfriend.

He also claimed it was common for photographers to climb the ranks by leveraging models and even advised his colleagues to think long-term and broaden their vision. Just as the recording ended, President Ling arrived. She used the recording to threaten Liao Jinyuan, demanding that he leave Han Yijing. If the recording were exposed, both of them would be ruined. With Han Yijing’s career on the rise, she couldn’t stand by and watch her fall into disaster.

With reddened eyes, Liao Jinyuan insisted his feelings were real, but President Ling didn’t believe him at all. Moyi Road rejected the dual cover proposal, but Liao Jinyuan told them to wait a little longer. Meanwhile, Li Haoran was working at Xing Mo’s bar, where he mixed a drink for Ding Chen, leaving Ding Chen completely amazed.

You Ning sincerely liked Liao Jinyuan, and Xing Mo encouraged her to keep loving him and to become a better version of herself for his sake. You Ning asked if he was truly supporting her, but Xing Mo quickly corrected himself, saying it wasn’t entirely that. President Ling asked Xing Mo about the relationship between Han Yijing and Jia Fan. Xing Mo replied that they had a mentor-student dynamic and that Jia Fan’s refusal was due to his pride.

Xing Mo also pleaded on You Ning’s behalf, hoping President Ling would give her another chance. President Ling agreed. Late at night, Shu Bo found Jia Fan still training in the practice room. He commented that Jia Fan had truly risen to success. Jia Fan went to Han Yijing’s house to find her, only to run into Liao Jinyuan, who had come to check on Leica, the cat he and Han Yijing had raised together.

Jia Fan and Liao Jinyuan got into an argument and soon broke into a fight, only to be stopped by security. While Liao Jinyuan explained the situation to the security guards, Jia Fan called Han Yijing. After saying goodnight to each other, he hung up. Later, Liao Jinyuan and Jia Fan sat at the same table drinking, but they couldn’t stand each other and drank in silence.

Out of stubbornness, they kept drinking one cup after another until they were completely wasted. Liao Jinyuan drunkenly said that Han Yijing was just a “paper tiger”—she looked fierce, but deep down, she was naive. A little kindness would make her wholeheartedly give back in return. With a bitter smile, Liao Jinyuan added that being with Han Yijing required not just sincerity, but also intelligence. Otherwise, it would be impossible to compete with the people around her—especially Han Jialing.

He continued, saying that President Ling would never allow them to be together. And if she ever turned against them, she would cut ties without hesitation. Jia Fan firmly stated that he would never leave without a word, abandoning Han Yijing alone. Liao Jinyuan drank himself into a blackout. Jia Fan, discovering that he had been investigating him, casually dumped him onto a park bench.

The next day, Liao Jinyuan learned that the sponsor wanted to increase their funding—but only if Han Yijing was part of the cover, which meant Jia Fan had to be included as well. Frustrated, Liao Jinyuan shouted that Jia Fan was originally the one being chosen, but now their magazine had become the backup option instead. Han Yijing told President Ling that she agreed to be on the cover, but since it was a dual feature, Jia Fan had to be included too.

Episode 18 Recap

Dong Xiaoru’s mother had stayed up all night playing cards, and the next day at the stall, she was surprised to see Jia Fan working there—with an injury on the corner of his mouth. The two quickly struck a deal: she wouldn’t tell Dong Xiaoru about the card game, and he wouldn’t tell her father. Each would keep the other’s secret. Dong Xiaoru’s mother regretted stopping Jia Fan from going to France to be a head chef.

In her eyes, modeling was unreliable—something for the young, with no long-term security. Just then, Han Yijing arrived and asked about Jia Fan’s injury. Jia Fan brushed it off. Han Yijing earnestly told Jia Fan that it wasn’t too late to change course—being a head chef really was a great option, and everything Dong Xiaoru’s mother said was right.

But Jia Fan told Han Yijing that modeling had been his mother’s dream, and he was also trying to make up for his father’s regrets. Han Yijing said that as long as he made it onto the cover, everything would work out. But Jia Fan couldn’t understand why she agreed to it in the first place. He didn’t want to be on the cover, and he didn’t want Han Yijing to keep compromising herself for him.

Han Yijing shot back—if he really didn’t want to be on the cover, why make her run around the whole market picking outfits and putting together looks for him? Jia Fan pulled her into a hug and coaxed her, saying fine, he’d do it. What really bothered him was Han Yijing having to work with her ex. Han Yijing got upset and told him to set his pride aside—just treat it like any other job.

Despite their argument, Jia Fan still insisted on escorting Han Yijing to her car. On the way, her old leg injury flared up. Jia Fan tried to carry her princess-style, but Han Yijing asked him to put her down. This whole scene was caught by President Ling, who was watching from a car in the distance. President Ling told Wu Ming that if Jia Fan wasn’t on the cover, then neither was Han Yijing—he should just wait a little longer.

Wu Ming warned You Ning to behave herself and stop stirring up trouble. When You Ning heard that the cover featured Han Yijing and Jia Fan, she immediately got excited—two men and one woman, tangled in love and hate. She couldn’t wait to watch the drama unfold. Jia Fan took Han Yijing to the hospital. While waiting outside, he remembered what Liao Jinyuan drunkenly said—that she would make a comeback in under three years and still return as Top Han.

That was impossible, unless Han Yijing was faking it—faking it for all those who doubted her. The doctor told Jia Fan not to worry, but Jia Fan didn’t believe it. Still, he couldn’t reveal who he really was. Due to patient privacy rules, the doctor didn’t say much more. Xing Mo and Liao Jinyuan were playing basketball when Han Yijing called. Right after he hung up, Jia Fan also called.

Xing Mo scolded Liao Jinyuan to do his job properly and stop creating a mess—just handle things, or he wouldn’t get any peace. Xing Mo cleared out the bar to host Han Yijing privately. Han Yijing said she herself had come to terms with everything, but no matter how she tried to convince Jia Fan, he just wouldn’t listen or even pick up her calls. She asked Xing Mo to talk to Jia Fan.

Xing Mo said, what a coincidence—Jia Fan had also called him, asking him to talk to Han Yijing. Han Yijing said she understood where Jia Fan was coming from, but she might not live to see next year. She only wanted to do everything she could to help Jia Fan succeed while she still could. Xing Mo hadn’t realized how much Han Yijing cared about Jia Fan. Han Yijing said Jia Fan made her feel a life outside of work.

Even without the “top model” title, she still felt loved and cherished. Xing Mo brought up that Liao Jinyuan had his own struggles back then. But to Han Yijing, the reason didn’t matter—what mattered was that he abandoned her and left. Liao Jinyuan overheard every word. He chased after her and told her he finally realized that he had ruined their relationship. He wasn’t asking for forgiveness and would only deal with her professionally from now on.

Han Yijing saw the injury on Liao Jinyuan’s face. Liao Jinyuan admitted he fought with Jia Fan and bitterly said that Jia Fan won. Xing Mo told Jia Fan that Han Yijing had agreed—and that she respected his wishes. President Ling ordered the company to issue a public statement: Jia Fan was removed from the top team. Jia Fan went to confront her and demanded a reason. President Ling called out his relationship with Han Yijing.

Jia Fan admitted it—he wasn’t Liao Jinyuan and wasn’t afraid of anything. President Ling threatened him with his modeling career and told them to break up. But before Jia Fan could respond, Han Yijing ran in. Jia Fan said only children make choices—adults take both. Since they were no longer part of Moyi Road, there was no need to sneak around anymore. Holding Han Yijing’s hand, he walked out of the company in front of all their stunned colleagues.

Episode 19 Recap

President Ling had mixed feelings. She told Wu Ming to drop the matter between Jia Fan and Han Yijing for now, and if anyone tried to spread rumors or stir up trouble, send a lawyer’s letter right away. Han Yijing realized that President Ling was using the cover shoot to test them. There was no way she would agree to it, and Jia Fan had no reason to refuse.

Now that things had escalated, Han Yijing told Jia Fan she wouldn’t let him leave Moyi Road, but Jia Fan didn’t want to bow to President Ling. As long as he wasn’t at Moyi Road, she had no power over him. Jia Fan said he would prove with actions that he had what it took to win her back. After packing up, Jia Fan treated the rookie team to a meal, and Ding Chen came along too.

He told everyone that people who got fired from Moyi Road had a hard time finding their next gig. Jia Fan said he planned to go independent, but Ding Chen quickly doused that optimism with reality. Jia Fan replied, “How would I know if I don’t try? ” No one believed in him at first either, yet he had made it this far. After her photo shoot, Han Yijing saw Wu Ming waiting for her.

She told him that she wouldn’t cause a scene with President Ling and asked him to pass on a message—not to stir up trouble again. Wu Ming said the cover had been decided: she would shoot the solo cover. Han Yijing agreed. At the farewell dinner, everyone drank too much and started speaking freely. They said the real reason Jia Fan was fired was because he was dating Han Yijing, and even began asking about their relationship details.

Although Jia Fan was drunk too, he still knew what he was doing. He didn’t respond to their curiosity, paid the bill in advance, and left early. Ding Chen chased after him to apologize, but Jia Fan said he didn’t take it to heart. Back home, Jia Fan sat on the steps in the sun. Dong Xiaoru said she knew everything but unfortunately couldn’t help much. Jia Fan apologized for her not becoming his chief stylist.

Dong Xiaoru said everything had happened too fast—from the auditions to now—it was like he was on cheat mode, the progress bar moved too quickly. Now things were slowing down, and that felt more grounded, which was good. Jia Fan agreed, saying compared to what he had gained, this bit of loss wasn’t much. Han Yijing called Jia Fan and told him she was going to shoot the solo cover for "Qixiang".

Jia Fan said it was hers to begin with—of course she should shoot it, and he would keep working hard too. Liao Jinyuan went to Moyi Road to discuss the contract with President Ling. You Ning rushed over and tried to intercept him. In the elevator, she ran into Han Yijing, who told her she was doing the solo cover shoot.

You Ning said it was unfair to Jia Fan—compared to Liao Jinyuan, Jia Fan was responsible, capable, courageous, and young. If it were up to her, she’d choose Jia Fan and never go back to an ex. But right after saying that, they bumped into Liao Jinyuan walking toward them. He leaned in and whispered to You Ning, “Next time you badmouth someone, keep your voice down.

”You Ning told Liao Jinyuan that Jia Fan was probably fired for dating Han Yijing, but in her heart, no one compared to him. Liao Jinyuan saw through her real feelings—she would rather sit on the bench than leave Moyi Road because she didn’t want to lose President Ling and Han Yijing. Liao Jinyuan encouraged You Ning to consider switching tracks. You Ning had a moment of clarity and broke into a smile.

Jia Fan got word about an interview for a small fashion show. He waited until everyone else had left, but never got his turn. Someone told him the interview was over—his name wasn’t on the list. Even though he was spending most of his time at the seafood shop now, Jia Fan hadn’t stopped working out and still chased every opportunity he could get, but he kept hitting walls.

Dong Xiaoru’s mother thought she was holding Jia Fan back, so she quickly told him she’d hire new help soon, and he should feel free to go chase his dreams.

Episode 20 Recap

During an audition, Jia Fan ran into his former rookie team members. After a brief greeting, he immediately went in to audition. The applicants were grouped in fives. Designer Jimmy said Jia Fan was passable and marked him as "pending. " Then, Jimmy asked a female former teammate to change clothes in front of everyone, just to confirm if she had lied about her waist size.

Jia Fan couldn’t stand watching and spoke up for her, which resulted in his "pending" status being revoked. Jia Fan took out his phone and started filming Jimmy, intending to post it online, but Jimmy stopped him. While everyone was worried, Liao Jinyuan arrived, and the rookie team members quickly went up to ask for help. Jimmy said he'd give Jia Fan a chance—apologize and take off his clothes, or be blacklisted from the industry.

Jia Fan looked at him like he was a clown and didn’t say a word. Just then, Liao Jinyuan pushed open the door and told Jimmy that "Qixiang"’s philosophy didn’t align with teachers who stripped models or made personal attacks, and they might as well cancel next spring’s collaboration. Jia Fan asked why Liao Jinyuan helped him. Liao Jinyuan said he wasn’t helping Jia Fan—he just couldn’t stand people disrespecting the modeling profession.

After work, Han Yijing got home and wanted to message Jia Fan but didn’t know what to say. You Ning asked Xing Mo which direction she should pivot her career toward. Xing Mo said she had to choose her own path. You Ning, with her romantic mindset, thought Liao Jinyuan advising her to change was him considering their future. Xing Mo asked if she wanted the truth. You Ning said, “Forget it.

” Liao Jinyuan and Jia Fan walked into a bar together. Liao Jinyuan said Jia Fan insisted on buying him a drink, so he brought him here—to bring some business to Xing Mo. At a table with Liao Jinyuan and Jia Fan, Xing Mo watched You Ning sit at the bar entrance. Jia Fan said he didn’t regret his choices. Liao Jinyuan warned him that if he didn’t make something of himself, he’d go after Han Yijing.

Just as Xing Mo was urging You Ning to leave, Han Yijing arrived. You Ning, ever the drama lover, was the one who called Han Yijing over. You Ning told Jia Fan that even though she liked Liao Jinyuan, she was fully on Jia Fan’s side in this. Since things were already out in the open, she encouraged Jia Fan to stick to being himself—one day, President Ling would have to give in.

Jia Fan left Han Yijing and Liao Jinyuan to talk alone and waited outside for Han Yijing. Han Yijing said she was very worried about him and missed him a lot. But Jia Fan was the kind of person who only shared good news, not bad. He originally planned to reach out once he had some good news.

Han Yijing felt for him and took him to a boxing gym to blow off steam—she said she did this every time she was stressed. At Han Yijing’s suggestion, Shu Bo called Jia Fan to ask if he needed help. Jia Fan thanked him but said that when one door closes, another opens.

Si Min accidentally let something slip, and after Han Yijing pressed for more, Shu Bo admitted he had reached out to several companies on Jia Fan’s behalf, but the leads mysteriously went cold. Si Min suspected Jimmy's incident was also President Ling’s doing. Jia Fan stopped to watch a street musician perform, while on the other side, Han Yijing stormed back to the office to confront President Ling. President Ling said she could date, just not Jia Fan.

As her aunt, she was doing it for her own good. Han Yijing replied that if that’s what family means, she’d rather not have one. Jia Fan said he had a new idea—he would pursue a career in social media. When he told Han Yijing the news, her reaction was very flat. Jia Fan sensed something was off but didn’t press further. Jia Fan started building his account, with Dong Xiaoru, Si Min, and Shu Bo all helping out.

The rookie team members also came to walk in his shows. Meanwhile, the magazine issue featuring Han Yijing’s cover reached over 10,000 pre-orders in just four hours and eight minutes. As Liao Jinyuan and his colleagues cheered with excitement, You Ning arrived with afternoon tea. She told Liao Jinyuan that it wasn’t just Han Yijing’s numbers that broke 10,000—Jia Fan’s video views had too.

Episode 21 Recap

That night at the bar, Han Yijing told Liao Jinyuan that during the three years after her car accident, she had thought about dying. But when she stepped onto the rooftop, a sheet of yellow stationery floated by, filled with all kinds of wishes. It was those wishes that kept her alive. The person who lost that paper was Jia Fan. As unbelievable as it seemed, it was the truth.

If it weren’t for Jia Fan, she wouldn’t be alive today. And if she had died, Liao Jinyuan would’ve lived with guilt for the rest of his life. It was Jia Fan who saved her—and in doing so, also saved Liao Jinyuan. After watching Jia Fan’s video, Liao Jinyuan recommended him to an interview show editor-in-chief. When Dong Xiaoru brought the good news to Jia Fan, she unexpectedly discovered that Jia Fan’s father's vision had worsened.

President Ling came to the bar and ordered a blueberry tuna sandwich. Li Haoran told her the bar had never served sandwiches—only then did she realize that Xing Mo had made it just for her. Xing Mo took President Ling to the seaside, saying the place was great for healing.

He turned on some music and handed her a bottle of wine, explaining that the place was his branch location, not open to the public, and meant solely for her as a VIP. When President Ling asked about Jia Fan and Han Yijing, Xing Mo said he had known all along. Since the car accident, he hadn’t seen the light in Han Yijing’s eyes—until she met Jia Fan.

Jia Fan told Han Yijing about his upcoming interview, and Han Yijing hugged him in excitement. Then the two went out to celebrate with chicken feet. President Ling said that it was better to have a short pain than a long one—she would rather be the villain than let Han Yijing regret things later. She deeply regretted hitting Han Yijing, and she truly wanted her to be happy—just not with Jia Fan.

When Xing Mo pressed her for the reason, President Ling didn’t elaborate. In front of Xing Mo, she could let down her guard, tear off the mask she wore at work, and show her emotions freely. Xing Mo promised that once she sobered up, he’d forget everything she said. President Ling leaned on his shoulder and burst into tears. At the seafood market, everyone crowded around the computer to watch Jia Fan’s interview livestream.

Han Yijing, Liao Jinyuan, Shu Bo, and Si Min were also tuned in. Jia Fan said he wanted to return to Moyilu. Through the livestream, he apologized to President Ling and asked for another chance. Dong Xiaoru managed Jia Fan’s account and, in the one hour of the live interview, had already received over a dozen partnership calls—she was thrilled. Wu Ming told President Ling that Pannio, a notoriously difficult Spanish brand, had taken an interest in Jia Fan.

Now was the perfect time to bring him back—if they waited until he secured deals elsewhere, it would be a loss they couldn’t afford. Jia Fan and Han Yijing took time out of their busy schedules to surprise each other. Their playful teasing made Shu Bo and Si Min feel very comforted. Han Yijing asked Jia Fan why he wanted to return to Moyilu.

Jia Fan said that when he left, he had made it clear—he wanted both career and love. President Ling was a businesswoman; as long as he could prove his value, she would definitely agree. After dinner, they walked back to Jia Fan’s place. Dong Xiaoru, her mom, and Jia Fan’s dad immediately hid when they heard them coming and watched quietly from the side.

Han Yijing sat on Jia Fan’s lap while he sat on the steps, the two of them whispering sweet nothings—only to be startled by Jia Fan’s dad. Once inside, the five of them sat around the table. Jia Fan publicly announced their relationship. Dong Xiaoru curiously asked who had pursued whom. Jia Fan and Han Yijing both answered at the same time—it was them who chased the other. When Han Yijing got home and saw President Ling there, she said only a few words before heading upstairs.

Episode 22 Recap

Xing Mo brought food to the office. You Ning nosily asked who it was for, earning a major eye-roll from Xing Mo. Wu Ming informed You Ning that after careful consideration, the company had decided to let her act in a drama. You Ning was completely unwilling—she worried that if she did well, she’d be swamped with acting offers and wouldn’t have time to walk the runway.

President Ling, seeing that You Ning kept making a fuss, clearly told her that her previous actions—privately negotiating with brand partners to raise endorsement fees and causing a scene at a party—had already spread throughout the industry. No brands would want to work with her anymore. Transitioning to acting was her only option now. As President Ling stormed out of the company in anger, Xing Mo followed her out and handed her the blueberry tuna sandwich.

President Ling still didn’t want Jia Fan to return to the company. She wanted Xing Mo to go to Spain, but Xing Mo said he wouldn’t go. Han Yijing asked the doctor about retinitis pigmentosa. The doctor warned her that it was a hereditary condition—if the father had it, the child would most likely be affected too. You Ning felt terrible seeing a magazine filled with Han Yijing’s photoshoot.

She wanted to ask Xing Mo out for company but was rejected. Just when she felt at a loss, she got a phone call offering to publish a report about Liao Jinyuan, Han Yijing, and Jia Fan, claiming such a dramatic story would definitely go viral. You Ning warned the caller not to mess around, or they’d suffer the consequences.

Xing Mo closed the bar and got everything ready to celebrate President Ling’s birthday, but she was still working late at the office. He texted her, and President Ling told him not to wait. So Xing Mo brought the flowers, gifts, and cake directly to the office. President Ling said she’d keep the cake, but refused the gift. Xing Mo asked her to at least open it. Inside was a custom-designed dress he had made just for her.

President Ling rejected him again. Xing Mo understood her concerns—back then, someone had spread rumors about the two of them. He had taken on both accusers at once and taught them a hard lesson. When the incident reached President Ling, she didn’t punish Xing Mo—she knew his nature and that he wasn’t someone who caused trouble.

From then on, Xing Mo made up his mind—no matter how President Ling treated him, he would always stay by her side, because no one else had ever believed in him unconditionally. When President Ling tried to leave with the flowers and cake, Xing Mo stopped her, took the car keys, and said since she didn’t want the gift, he would take that as a yes to driving her home. Han Yijing and Jia Fan talked about the eye condition.

Jia Fan didn’t mention his own diagnosis, but Han Yijing seemed to have already guessed. Since Jia Fan didn’t want to say it, she didn’t press him. Jia Fan walked Han Yijing to her doorstep, just as Xing Mo pulled up in his car. Xing Mo said birthdays should be spent with family. Jia Fan cooked while Han Yijing watched by his side. In the living room, Xing Mo apologized to President Ling for deciding everything on his own.

Though President Ling talked tough, she softened a little. The four sat around the table, the mood a bit awkward at first. But with compliments from Han Yijing and Xing Mo, President Ling finally picked up her chopsticks. Eventually, thanks to the others’ efforts, she managed a smile and raised her glass. The tension eased. After the meal, they played games together, the atmosphere lively and joyful. Everyone sang the birthday song for President Ling and gave her a happy birthday celebration.

Episode 23 Recap

Jia Fan and Xing Mo supported each other as they walked out of Han Yijing’s house. Jia Fan thanked Xing Mo for today, but Xing Mo said he should be the one thanking Jia Fan. Jia Fan was confused, and Xing Mo didn’t explain further. Han Yijing let President Ling stay at her place, which made President Ling very happy.

Han Yijing said that if she could always be like she was tonight, no one would dislike her, and Xing Mo wouldn’t have to work so hard. As they went upstairs, Han Yijing turned back and wished President Ling a happy birthday. President Ling said her birthday wish was for Han Yijing and Jia Fan to part peacefully. Han Yijing didn’t argue, she only said, "If you say your wish out loud, it won’t come true.

"Han Yijing told Jia Fan that President Ling was actually really happy today, just too proud to show it. Jia Fan was about to tell Han Yijing about his eyes, but when he saw her say good night, he ended up deleting the message word by word. Early the next morning, You Ning approached Liao Jinyuan to talk about the company wanting her to switch careers and become an actress.

Liao Jinyuan said it was a great opportunity and encouraged her to give it a try. Huang Jinde had been waiting for Liao Jinyuan but instead ran into You Ning. You Ning warned him not to fabricate anything. Han Yijing and Jia Fan had already broken up, had nothing to do with Liao Jinyuan, and even less with her. But Huang Jinde, knowing You Ning’s temper, believed more strongly that something was going on the more she denied it.

You Ning secretly called Han Yijing ahead of time so she could hear the entire conversation between her and Huang Jinde. She apologized to Han Yijing and warned her to be careful. Dong Xiaoru’s mom, trying to support Jia Fan, asked all the seafood market customers to follow Jia Fan online, making him too embarrassed to go back to the stall to work.

When Dong Xiaoru asked why, her mom said it was thanks to Xiao Wang, the new assistant she had hired. Just then, a group of stylish young men and women walked in like they were on a runway—it was Jia Fan’s friends from the Modelling Road newcomer team. The newcomer friends said ever since Jia Fan became popular, brand designers had been flooding to Modelling Road to find him, and the pressure on President Ling had grown.

She was all cold-faced the entire time. Especially when Spanish designer Paniol visited Modelling Road specifically for Jia Fan. Even though President Ling strongly recommended Xing Mo, Paniol didn’t show much interest in him. Later during a meeting, President Ling suddenly said that if anyone wanted to meet Jia Fan, she could arrange it anytime. While they were still discussing this at the seafood store, President Ling arrived. Jia Fan knew that all of President Ling’s concerns were about his eyes.

He told her he had been checked, and his eyes were fine. But President Ling insisted—she couldn’t entrust Han Yijing to a ticking time bomb. What if his condition came back in the future? Han Yijing would be stuck taking care of him for the rest of her life. Han Yijing overheard Wu Ming on a call.

Wu Ming said that lately President Ling had given him a bunch of contact numbers for top eye specialists both in China and abroad, and asked him to reach out. He asked Han Yijing to try to understand where President Ling was coming from. President Ling agreed to let Jia Fan return to Modelling Road, but she still insisted they break up as soon as possible.

Jia Fan’s father told Jia Fan that Han Yijing had sent a lot of things over. Jia Fan said if she sent them, they should keep them. His father asked when he was going to tell Han Yijing about his eyes. Jia Fan was feeling down too—this couldn’t be delayed any longer. Han Yijing guessed that President Ling had asked Wu Ming to find doctors for Jia Fan, but President Ling wouldn’t admit it.

Seeing her reaction, Han Yijing was even more certain. She asked President Ling to keep it a secret for her—she’d figure it out on her own and told her not to worry anymore. Then Huang Jinde called President Ling, saying he had explosive news that involved Han Yijing.

Episode 24 Recap

Jia Fan got a makeover from Dong Xiaoru, then rode his electric scooter back to Modelling Road. In the parking lot, he saw President Ling resting alone in her car. She told him that he had a lot of interviews coming up, and letting him return to the company didn’t mean she agreed to anything—he had to keep his distance from Han Yijing while at work. Jia Fan’s return to Modelling Road made everyone happy.

Watching them all laughing and chatting together, even President Ling couldn’t help but smile. On her way back to the office after speaking with Wu Ming, President Ling suddenly collapsed due to lack of sleep and low blood sugar—her body was severely exhausted. At the hospital, the moment she woke up, she was already thinking about Jia Fan’s makeup trial and told Wu Ming to go check on it immediately.

Xing Mo rushed into the hospital room, making President Ling a bit flustered. She quickly pulled up the blanket and said she needed a nap, then urged Xing Mo to leave. After asking the doctor about her test results, Han Yijing learned that Xing Mo was in the room, so she deliberately created an opportunity for them by not going in.

Jia Fan said he’d be busy for a month, so he and Han Yijing agreed to meet after his shoot that evening. Han Yijing realized that President Ling was pretending to sleep and told Xing Mo to go. Xing Mo said that was exactly why he needed to stay and make sure she rested for a full 12 hours in the hospital.

Han Yijing said she was starting to understand President Ling—taking care of her while also running a startup wasn’t easy. Just as she was saying this, President Ling got a phone call and had to leave. Xing Mo was worried about her health, but President Ling snapped at him before walking off alone. Even Han Yijing couldn’t take it anymore and advised Xing Mo to find someone else—she wasn’t worth it.

President Ling went to Director Li to ask her to keep a secret. Although exposure might actually be good for her career, President Ling believed that compared to her career, she herself mattered more. Si Min approached President Ling to plead for Han Yijing and Jia Fan, bringing up Huang Jinde. President Ling said that true love must withstand doubts and trials, and told Si Min not to worry—she believed in them.

After filming, Jia Fan went to the training room to find Han Yijing. She was dancing in front of the mirror. Jia Fan admired her for a while before getting interrupted by a call from Si Min, who warned him to be careful around Huang Jinde. After hanging up, Jia Fan walked in and hugged Han Yijing, wanting to tell her about his condition. But before he could speak, Han Yijing brought up her leg.

With tears in her eyes, she asked Jia Fan if he would still love her if she had lasting effects and couldn’t work anymore. Jia Fan said he would take care of her—even if she couldn’t take care of herself, there was no need to be afraid, because he was there. Hearing this, Han Yijing looked at him through teary eyes and said, "If it were you, I’d be the same.

As long as I’m here, you’ll never need to be afraid. " Jia Fan looked down at her and softly called her name. Han Yijing smiled and answered, "I’m here. " Jia Fan kissed her deeply. The seafood shop’s business was booming thanks to Jia Fan. He was working hard to improve himself, and despite the busy filming schedule, he did great—Paniol kept nodding in approval.

While Xing Mo was playing basketball, You Ning was practicing acting in the air by herself. Her overly dramatic performance made Xing Mo unimpressed. You Ning begged him for guidance, so Xing Mo treated her like President Ling in a scene and gave an emotional performance, which left You Ning stunned. After his workout, Liao Jinyuan returned to the hotel and saw Wu Ming. They exchanged greetings and went their separate ways.

Liao Jinyuan then unexpectedly found a doctor’s business card on the table. Xing Mo decided to terminate his contract with Modelling Road. President Ling tried hard to persuade him to stay, but he had made up his mind, and she had no choice but to agree. Liao Jinyuan called Xing Mo to ask about Jia Fan. Xing Mo said that Jia Fan was Modelling Road’s next ace and was extremely busy.

Episode 25 Recap

Liao Jinyuan asked Xing Mo if President Ling secretly found a doctor to treat Jia Fan’s father because she cared about Jia Fan. Xing Mo immediately denied it, saying President Ling only cared about profit—she wasn’t some philanthropist. She was an emotionless money-making machine. Liao Jinyuan also felt that such a warm and touching gesture didn’t match President Ling’s usual style. Liao Jinyuan went to Jia Fan’s house.

While he was looking around, Jia Fan’s father came out leaning on a bamboo stick. Hearing the noise, Jia Fan’s father thought Jia Fan had returned and reminded him to go to the hospital for a follow-up eye check. Jia Fan’s shoot ended smoothly, and Paniol was very satisfied. Before leaving, they planned a celebration party. Jia Fan’s eyes were uncomfortable and he wanted to decline, but still went with Wu Ming. Han Yijing went to the hospital for a checkup.

The doctor reminded her not to take painkillers frequently, but Han Yijing said she had an important show for Modelling Road next month. Once it was over, she’d take a break right away. For the Modelling Road show, President Ling wanted Xing Mo to open it. Wu Ming said Xing Mo had declined, and that he was already going through the contract termination process. According to company policy, he couldn’t participate in any events during the termination period.

Liao Jinyuan got drunk at a bar. Jia Fan went looking for Xing Mo and bumped into Liao Jinyuan. Liao Jinyuan challenged Jia Fan to a one-on-one basketball match. With nowhere else to vent his anger, Liao Jinyuan went at Jia Fan aggressively, knocking him to the ground several times. Jia Fan was completely confused.

Liao Jinyuan eventually said it outright—Han Yijing had already been through so much, and now she had to deal with a liar like Jia Fan who was hiding his illness and not being honest. Just as Liao Jinyuan was about to hit him again, Xing Mo arrived. Xing Mo said that these past few years hadn’t been easy for Liao Jinyuan either—he’d been living in regret every day.

In the relationship with Han Yijing, it was Liao Jinyuan who had never truly moved on. Jia Fan said he deserved it and understood why Liao Jinyuan was angry. Jia Fan asked Xing Mo why he was terminating his contract, but Xing Mo wouldn’t say—he just said he was tired and wanted to enjoy life. When Han Yijing saw Jia Fan return to the company, she shouted at him.

Coincidentally, some other team members sneaked in from outside and got caught. Han Yijing immediately switched to teacher mode and reminded them of how important the public show was, telling them to give their best performance. That night, Jia Fan heard Dong Xiaoru shouting about a fire outside his room. He rushed out and found that it was Dong Xiaoru bringing back one of his posters. Jia Fan’s father looked closely at the poster for a long time, visibly moved.

Liao Jinyuan arranged a meeting with President Ling. After talking business, he wanted to discuss something personal. President Ling didn’t want to hide it and admitted that she had known about Jia Fan’s eye condition even before he joined Modelling Road. She also said Han Yijing was already aware of it. Liao Jinyuan couldn’t understand why she had broken him and Han Yijing up back then, but now allowed Jia Fan and Han Yijing to be together.

President Ling said she didn’t want to see Han Yijing die. Back then, Han Yijing had a car accident and nearly died. Now that she had finally recovered, President Ling didn’t want to repeat the same mistakes. She apologized to Liao Jinyuan, saying that she had only done what she did out of concern for Han Yijing’s career. President Ling pleaded with Liao Jinyuan to just be a bystander. She had realized that the more she interfered, the worse things became—so now, she was choosing to let go.

Episode 26 Recap

President Ling called Xing Mo and told him that his contract termination would be finalized soon, but before that, she hoped he would walk the runway one more time—this was also Qixiang’s request. Xing Mo asked to talk in person. President Ling didn’t respond directly, only saying that Qixiang was the most important partner for the show, and if he didn’t go, Qixiang wouldn’t sign the contract.

Xing Mo walked up behind President Ling and said none of that mattered—he only wanted to know her true thoughts. Looking at Xing Mo, President Ling said it was also her wish. Xing Mo could no longer hold back and ran up to embrace her. In the dressing room, Han Yijing suddenly felt pain in her leg. She called Si Min and asked her to bring her bag over.

While putting clothes in the trunk, Si Min accidentally found several boxes of medicine. The show began. Xing Mo opened, You Ning went second, and Jia Fan was third. The show was primarily livestreamed, with few in-person attendees. Han Yijing was the finale. At first, she performed well, but as she walked to center stage, she suddenly bent over and clutched her left knee, then collapsed to the ground. Cameras and photographers immediately zoomed in on her.

Jia Fan took Han Yijing to the hospital. Shu Bo called to ask what happened. Jia Fan claimed it was low blood sugar, but Shu Bo didn’t believe him and said the incident was already trending online. Dong Xiaoru told Jia Fan’s father what had happened, assuring him it was only temporary and that he shouldn’t worry too much. Han Yijing and Liao Jinyuan’s relationship was exposed, and the situation continued to escalate, even affecting Qixiang.

Advertisers began to demand answers, and Liao Jinyuan’s position became difficult. But as soon as he learned that Han Yijing had regained consciousness, he immediately issued instructions for emergency PR. In the hospital, Han Yijing tearfully begged President Ling to follow her wishes—she didn’t want to keep pretending anymore and just wanted to be free. President Ling said nothing, then hurriedly left after taking a call.

Worried, Xing Mo chased after her, but President Ling was still angry—angry that Xing Mo had kept things from her—and didn’t want him following. Jia Fan learned from Wu Ming that Han Yijing planned to have the company issue a press release to clear herself of any ties with him, taking full responsibility and losses, and then follow up with a statement saying he had deceived the company and everyone. After that, she would leave the industry.

President Ling went to find Huang Jinde and warned him to stop. Huang Jinde said he was only reporting the truth, and reminded her that years ago, she had gotten him thrown out of the newspaper and blacklisted from the industry—now he was just returning the favor. As President Ling turned to leave, Huang Jinde suddenly brought up Spring Bud International Kindergarten, threatening to reveal the story of Han Yijing being abandoned by her own mother—yet another bombshell headline.

President Ling tried to attack him, but Huang Jinde pushed her. Thankfully, Xing Mo arrived in time to catch her. Without a word, Xing Mo punched Huang Jinde, only stopping when passersby showed up. President Ling wanted to protect Han Yijing, but Modelling Road now faced pressure not only from advertisers but also from investors. Looking at the finalized public statement from the company, President Ling weighed all aspects and ultimately agreed to release it.

Shu Bo and Si Min stayed at home waiting for Han Yijing. Han Yijing thanked them for their years of care and support and said with a smile that she was just going to lie flat for a while. Back in her room, Han Yijing called Jia Fan and told him not to contact her for the next few days—she planned to sleep for three days straight.

Jia Fan went to Liao Jinyuan and said he wanted to give the magazine an exclusive scoop—he would publicly reveal his eye condition. Though he wasn’t some big celebrity, at least it would attract some attention. Liao Jinyuan disagreed, but Jia Fan couldn’t just stand by and watch Han Yijing leave the industry like this.

Episode 27 Recap

Liao Jinyuan said that sometimes facing a problem directly is much better than throwing up a smokescreen. Jia Fan said he would go find someone and leave the media to Liao Jinyuan. When Han Yijing woke up, she felt her mood had improved a lot. After stepping out of her room, she heard sounds downstairs—Si Min and Dong Xiaoru were preparing food, saying it was to celebrate Han Yijing’s smooth recovery and rebirth.

After a few bites, Han Yijing immediately recognized that the food had been made by Jia Fan. Dong Xiaoru said Jia Fan had specially prepared a menu, listing all of Han Yijing’s flavor preferences. Si Min handed her phone to Han Yijing. Over the past three days, Jia Fan had been busy. Watching the video Jia Fan posted, Han Yijing saw him sitting in front of the camera, expressing his feelings for her to the whole internet.

Because of that video, more and more people started to speak out for Han Yijing, and all of Modelling Road also began posting videos in support of her. Han Yijing was deeply touched to see so many people standing by her. Among them was a video from Qu Ruoqing—Dong Xiaoru said Jia Fan arranged it. The two of them were schoolmates, and Qu Ruoqing liked Jia Fan.

Many people at the marketplace liked Jia Fan, which was why her mother was reluctant to let him go. You Ning called Si Min to ask about Han Yijing. Han Yijing picked up the phone and asked why she hadn’t posted a video. You Ning said she had been running around auditioning and didn’t have time. Han Yijing asked her to come over and have a meal together.

You Ning dressed up like Han Yijing to distract the reporters at the door, while Han Yijing slipped out from the other side—only to be blocked by Huang Jinde. Jia Fan, following his father’s advice, waited at the park, ready to confess his eye condition to Han Yijing. But she messaged saying something had come up and she couldn't make it. Huang Jinde told Han Yijing that her parents were never in a relationship.

Her father didn’t even know about her existence. Her mother, for her own sake, decided to abandon her and go abroad for further studies. Han Jialing, as her aunt, had no choice but to take her from the kindergarten and raise her. After hearing all that, Han Yijing remained calm—she said Han Jialing had already told her, so it wasn’t news to her.

Walking down the street without a mask, Han Yijing recalled the moment from her childhood when her aunt took her from the kindergarten. Her emotions were complicated. Reporters swarmed outside her home, demanding that she respond to the current situation. President Ling approached Jia Fan and told him to prepare to go to France to walk the full season show. It was such a good opportunity, but Jia Fan hesitated.

President Ling said she would arrange for someone to take care of his father for the next two years, removing his biggest concern. Wu Ming also urged Jia Fan to make a decision quickly. Just then, Jia Fan’s phone rang. Han Yijing, speaking into the camera, admitted she had hidden something from Modelling Road and announced she would completely withdraw from the public eye. President Ling came home and saw Han Yijing packing.

Han Yijing shoved the house key and a bank card into her hand, saying it was her breach of contract fee. Crying, Han Yijing said if she hadn’t followed her back then, at least she would still be an orphan—but now, she wasn’t even a person anymore. During an audition, You Ning was bullied by the director. After enduring it for a long time, she finally snapped and beat him up.

Her agent was extremely nervous—President Ling was already overwhelmed with Han Yijing’s situation, and now this made things worse. For the first time ever, Liao Jinyuan called You Ning, but it turned out he was looking for Han Yijing, which made You Ning very unhappy. When Liao Jinyuan arrived at Han Yijing’s house, he found President Ling there. She said Han Yijing couldn’t do anything at the moment, let alone an exclusive interview.

With red eyes, President Ling told Liao Jinyuan that the reason she had wanted Han Yijing to succeed so badly was so she could stand at the top—where her mother would see her and regret having heartlessly abandoned a six-year-old Han Yijing. Jia Fan, upon learning Han Yijing had gone missing, kept calling her, but her phone was always off. He checked all the places they used to go together, but she was nowhere to be found. Just when he was completely lost, Han Yijing finally called. She asked Jia Fan to give her some time, and he agreed.

Episode 28 Recap

Modelling Road faced a major crisis—investors began pulling out. Without Han Yijing and Xing Mo, Modelling Road was nothing more than an empty shell. President Ling was also nowhere to be seen. Everyone gathered at Xing Mo’s bar, drinking away their frustrations. Wu Ming drank one shot after another. You Ning was still worried about the trouble she had caused.

When Li Haoran heard that some of the new team members were already looking for a way out, he flew into a rage and shouted for them to leave, only to be stopped by Xing Mo. Wu Ming told them that anyone who wanted to leave should just go, no one should try to stop them. Since they were all handpicked by President Ling, they should trust her and not be afraid.

As soon as Wu Ming left the bar, he sat by the roadside and cried. He told Xing Mo that he wasn’t actually worried about Modelling Road—what he was worried about was President Ling. Because the one caught in this mess was Han Yijing, and Han Yijing was her everything. Xing Mo comforted Wu Ming, saying that apart from trusting President Ling, they also needed to give her time.

Wu Ming said that right now, Jia Fan was Modelling Road’s last hope. Jia Fan found Han Yijing, and the two of them snuggled together on the beach waiting for the sunrise. Unfortunately, it was a cloudy day. Jia Fan suggested they go on a date—in this place where no one knew them, they didn’t need to hide or pretend.

They rode bikes, ate ice cream, took selfies, went shopping, camped, collected seashells by the sea, splashed in the water—completely relaxed and free. It felt like the world had faded away, leaving only joy and happiness behind. Xing Mo brought food to visit President Ling. Now, Modelling Road was a complete mess. Wu Ming was drinking every day. Xing Mo advised President Ling to accept reality. Since the truth couldn’t be hidden, she might as well tell Han Yijing directly.

Han Yijing had grown up—she was no longer a child, nor in her rebellious phase. Liao Jinyuan, at the cost of his position as chief editor of Qixiang, helped secure a consultation with a specialist, and didn’t even let Wu Ming tell President Ling—saying he owed it to Han Yijing. While eating the sandwich Xing Mo brought, President Ling smiled and said he was indeed good at comforting people—and that wasn’t his only strength.

President Ling sent a WeChat message to Han Yijing about the consultation, and reassured her that if Jia Fan’s father could be treated, then one day Jia Fan could be cured too. She apologized for having made decisions about Han Yijing’s life without asking, but said she was very grateful to have been able to watch her grow up. That night, Jia Fan and Han Yijing camped out in a tent.

Their eyes met, and Han Yijing saw through Jia Fan’s feelings, while Jia Fan also understood what she was thinking. Han Yijing said she wouldn’t go to France with him, but she would always wait for him. Jia Fan told her never to forget that he was by her side, to take good care of herself, and to wait for him to come back. The shareholders’ meeting was moved up.

After careful consideration, the four major investors decided to continue entrusting President Ling with the company. Director Li said that before the meeting, Xing Mo had called him and said Jia Fan had agreed to go to France, and that You Ning’s transition to acting was a new breakthrough for Modelling Road. They also talked about many other things. Director Li hadn’t expected someone as decisive and ruthless as Han Jialing to have so many supporters.

So, they all unanimously agreed to keep supporting President Ling. Everyone was happy that President Ling would continue to lead Modelling Road. Although Xing Mo had terminated his contract, he would continue working with Modelling Road in a mentor role, which made President Ling very pleased.

Episode 29 (Ending) Recap

Liao Jinyuan had someone pack his luggage, then invited You Ning out for noodles. It was the first time he had ever taken the initiative to ask You Ning out. You Ning dressed up specially and arrived early. She asked the noodle shop owner to serve noodles every five minutes to make sure the noodles wouldn’t clump up by the time Liao Jinyuan arrived. Liao Jinyuan had left Qixiang.

He encouraged You Ning to work hard on her acting career, and said that once she won an award, she could come find him in the UK—he was returning to being a photographer. As he was leaving, You Ning ran after him and asked if she was the only person he saw before going abroad. Liao Jinyuan smiled and admitted it.

You Ning couldn’t hold back anymore and threw herself into his arms, crying as she told him she would work hard to win an award and go find him. And when that time came, whether or not he saw her as his girlfriend, he must stop treating her like a child. The surgery was scheduled, but Jia Fan's father insisted that Jia Fan be the one to perform it—otherwise, he would cancel the operation.

In a fit of anger, Jia Fan said if his dad didn’t do the surgery, then he wouldn’t go abroad. His father became furious and picked up a slipper to hit him. He had already passed the illness to Jia Fan and didn’t want to fight his son for the chance at surgery. Upon hearing this, Dong Xiaoru realized for the first time that Jia Fan also had an eye condition.

Jia Fan told Dong Xiaoru that he had recommended her to Modelling Road as a styling assistant. Early in the morning, Jia Fan was woken up by his alarm clock. He placed the family photo back on the table and went to his dad’s room, only to find it empty. Jia Fan’s father had asked Dong Xiaoru to arrange a meeting with Han Yijing—he wanted her to persuade Jia Fan. But Han Yijing didn’t agree to it.

Instead, she ended up persuading Jia Fan’s father to go through with the surgery. Afterward, Han Yijing wandered near the company and saw President Ling coming out. She suggested they grab a meal together, and President Ling happily agreed. Jia Fan’s father wanted to keep his meeting with Han Yijing a secret, but when he returned, Jia Fan was right there in the yard and had heard everything.

During the meal, President Ling tried to joke with Han Yijing to lighten the mood, but it didn’t quite work. Han Yijing thanked her for everything she had done for Jia Fan. She knew that President Ling had done it all for her. Over the years, the two of them had been so stubborn—sharp-tongued but soft-hearted, always keeping up appearances but suffering inside. Even in front of family, they still carried that weight.

Han Yijing said she wanted to live more freely from now on. Crying, she apologized to President Ling for misunderstanding her all these years and hurting her, even though she had done so much for her. In the end, with teary eyes, she looked at President Ling and said thank you for bringing her home. Jia Fan also reconciled with his father. Once his eyes were healed, he said he wanted to see his son’s hard work for himself.

Han Yijing and President Ling sat by the couch, drinking wine and chatting about future plans. President Ling joked that since Han Yijing was such a good cook, maybe she could be a chef. Han Yijing asked her to invest first—after all, she was her wealthy Aunt Ling. Jia Fan accompanied his father for the surgery. Dong Xiaoru and her mother came along with big and small bags. President Ling personally met them at the hospital.

Han Yijing dressed up beautifully and waited outside the operating room, fingers tightly interlocked with Jia Fan’s. You Ning gave it her all for her acting career, completely disregarding her image. Finally, her efforts paid off—she won Best Supporting Actress. Overjoyed at hearing the announcement, she excitedly said she wanted to go to Turkey to find Liao Jinyuan. Shu Bo, now her manager, strongly opposed her plans to take a vacation abroad.

The two of them argued constantly over the schedule. President Ling and Xing Mo were also making rapid progress. Xing Mo continued to bring her blueberry tuna sandwiches, and President Ling no longer resisted his affection. Modelling Road’s grand show began. Everyone took their seats. Although President Ling and Xing Mo weren’t seated together, their eyes found each other. The show featured New Chinese Style fashion and was held in a building full of bamboo, exuding elegance and beauty.

Han Yijing appeared last as the designer, receiving a round of applause. Jia Fan returned from abroad and rushed straight to the show from the airport. He said he wasn’t leaving anymore—he would treat his eyes first, then propose. In front of everyone, Jia Fan kissed Han Yijing, then held her hand as they walked away together.
