Wanna Be Episode 10 Recap
> Wanna Be Recap
Jia Fan told Han Yijing that this park was full of couples on dates at night, so even if someone saw them, they would just assume they were a couple on a date—there was no need to worry. However, as soon as he finished speaking, Jia Fan realized someone was following them. He quickly pulled Han Yijing back to the car and then, using the excuse of going to the restroom, retraced their steps—just in time to catch Huang Jinde.
Jia Fan snatched the camera, took out the memory card, and then returned the camera to Huang Jinde. Jia Fan told Han Yijing that whenever she was alone, she must lock the car doors. He then told her to sit in the passenger seat while he drove her home. At home, You Ning looked at herself in the mirror, practicing her lines and venting about her unhappy upbringing.
Her father was never responsible, and her parents were still in the middle of a messy divorce. In such circumstances, it was President Ling who took her in, allowing her to study and live alongside Han Yijing. Later, they debuted together, leading to where she was today. But now, she kept disappointing President Ling and breaking her heart. After finishing her monologue, she should have been in tears, but she couldn’t cry at all.
Just as she was getting frustrated, her phone rang. Huang Jinde informed her that the secret photos had been discovered and that Jia Fan was not someone to be messed with. He advised her to lay low for a while. Han Yijing wanted to know what Jia Fan had gone back to do, but he refused to tell her. Han Yijing reminded him to never accept fate or compromise and to always follow through on his words.
When Jia Fan got home, he looked at the secretly taken photos and sighed—if these were leaked, it would basically be an official announcement. After replying to Han Yijing’s message, he happily continued admiring the photos, leaving Han Yijing feeling restless and impatient. Over at Rachel’s marketing department, they came up with a new idea for an advertisement. Han Yijing was already confirmed as the female lead, and they were considering boldly casting a newcomer as the male lead.
At the training room, Han Yijing announced that she wanted to treat the newcomers to a meal. Jia Fan made excuses not to go, but Han Yijing insisted that no one should be left out. She presented herself as approachable, telling everyone that from now on, they were family. She promised she had no hidden agendas and absolutely no inappropriate thoughts toward anyone. The others awkwardly chuckled, thinking there was no way such a situation would ever arise.
The competition for Rachel’s male brand ambassador had begun, and all the newcomers received the notice. Each of them needed to submit a two-minute video the next day. After dinner, Han Yijing sent Shu Bo away and then stared straight into Jia Fan’s eyes, asking, “Are you hiding something? Have you fallen for me? ” Jia Fan was momentarily speechless. Just then, some fans nearby started taking photos, giving Jia Fan the perfect excuse to slip away.
Ding Chen and Li Haoran extended training for the newcomers, deliberately making things harder for Jia Fan, forcing him to practice until 11 PM. Meanwhile, You Ning went to Xing Mo’s bar to find him. She drank for most of the night but never saw him. The moment Han Yijing arrived, though, You Ning fled in embarrassment. Unable to keep a secret, she immediately confessed to President Ling about the secret photos.
President Ling noticed Jia Fan was still at the company late at night. She advised him to break people’s stereotypes of him and to showcase his unique warmth and relatability. By the time Jia Fan got home, his father was already asleep. He began preparing his vlog, highlighting his strengths—even his flaws didn’t matter. The newcomers uploaded their videos. Jia Fan took a different approach and uploaded a video Dong Xiaoru’s mother had filmed during their rooftop barbecue.
The online votes came in. Ding Chen had the highest votes, but public opinion about him was polarizing. On the other hand, Jia Fan felt more grounded and relatable. In the end, Jia Fan emerged as the winner.
