The newcomers were discussing the situation—some wanted to stand up for Jia Fan, while others felt it had nothing to do with them. Wu Ming announced that he would be their supervisor from now on and that there would be an upcoming assessment. Those who performed well would receive their own model cards and officially become models. You Ning went to the company to see President Ling, begging for a chance to attend the party.

However, President Ling told her to stay home for now. Li Haoran also went to see President Ling but didn’t get the chance to speak before she left. He caught up with her, and she told him that she had already figured out the truth through surveillance footage. Li Haoran asked her not to misunderstand Xing Mo and said he was willing to bear all the consequences.

President Ling replied that the company was already drafting a contract termination letter and that they would contact him when it was ready. Jia Fan went to the hospital for an eye check-up. The doctor looked at his report with a serious expression and stared at him for a long time, making Jia Fan break out in a cold sweat—only for the doctor to reveal he was joking.

The doctor told Jia Fan that his condition hadn’t worsened but that he still needed to be careful. He was also happy to hear that Jia Fan was in a relationship, as a good mood would help with his recovery. Shu Bo teased Han Yijing about choosing Jia Fan as her date. Han Yijing explained that it was to attract more students to his training class.

Besides, choosing a newcomer instead of someone of equal status to make a statement at an important event made her seem more open-minded and selfless as a senior. Xing Mo walked into the dressing room. Han Yijing was lying on the sofa, while Xing Mo sat in front of the makeup table. They both stole glances at each other but remained silent. Dong Xiaoru wanted to be Jia Fan’s stylist for the party, but Jia Fan refused.

He said that since his date was a big name, he had to prepare properly. Dong Xiaoru told him that there was no one in this world he wasn’t worthy of—except for Han Yijing. Jia Fan glanced at Dong Xiaoru, and from his expression, she realized that his date was indeed Han Yijing. Neither Han Yijing nor Xing Mo wanted to speak first in the dressing room.

In the end, Han Yijing couldn’t hold back, walked in circles around Xing Mo, and finally conveyed Jia Fan’s gratitude. Xing Mo responded indifferently. Han Yijing then said that what happened that day wasn’t her fault—it was his own fault for not saying anything. As soon as she finished speaking, Xing Mo said, “Because you like him. ”Han Yijing didn’t deny it. Xing Mo reminded her that he wasn’t the only one who understood her—President Ling did too.

He hoped she wouldn’t repeat past mistakes. Han Yijing, fully disguised, squatted in the bushes waiting for Jia Fan. Jia Fan had also gone to great lengths to disguise himself. The two of them sneaked off for their first date, and Han Yijing chose a vegetable market as the location. They enthusiastically evaluated the vegetables—Jia Fan focused on how they tasted, while Han Yijing was more concerned about their calorie count.

Even though they were fully covered with masks and wigs, a fruit vendor still recognized Jia Fan, prompting him to grab Han Yijing and run away. Jia Fan taught Han Yijing how to slice fish fillets. Han Yijing laughed, saying that she was the center of attention on the runway, while he was the highlight of the market. They were the same—just in different fields, evenly matched. Jia Fan, grinning, said that he was famous for having thick skin.

The two of them were a perfect match. He liked her and was willing to do whatever it took, no matter the cost. Now that their relationship was confirmed, traces of each other began appearing in their rooms. Jia Fan’s room had printed-out, secretly taken photos, while Han Yijing’s room displayed Jia Fan’s X-ray from his arm fracture—with the heart-shaped bone circled in red. Jia Fan and Han Yijing attended the Visionary Party in full glam.

Wu Ming chuckled, saying they looked good together, so it was only natural that people would misunderstand their relationship. Just as he finished speaking, Xing Mo arrived with a female companion. Wu Ming turned to President Ling and said, “If you and Xing Mo show up together, people will misunderstand too. ”Only then did President Ling realize that the outfit she was wearing had been put together by Xing Mo.

Han Yijing introduced Jia Fan to many influential figures at the event. President Ling reminded Han Yijing to be careful with her words and actions if she wanted to secure a magazine cover. Although You Ning had been banned from attending, she still sneaked in. She was determined to meet the editor-in-chief. Jia Fan noticed her and informed Xing Mo. As the party officially started, the editor-in-chief made an appearance.

To everyone’s surprise, the person who took the stage was Liao Jinyuan. After his speech, Liao Jinyuan walked directly toward Han Yijing. Realizing something was wrong, Jia Fan quickly stepped in to rescue her, and they left together. President Ling rushed forward to confront Liao Jinyuan, but Xing Mo stopped her, saying that he would handle it.
