Wanna Be Episode 2 Recap
> Wanna Be Recap
A model—a profession that everyone is familiar with yet knows little about. While natural attributes are the foundation, hard work is even more crucial. Han Yijing sighed, acknowledging that fate had given her a career, yet she constantly had to go hungry to maintain her figure. In this profession, body shape is the most important asset, but a sudden car accident nearly ended Han Yijing’s career. Jia Fan drove Han Yijing to the hospital.
To avoid being photographed by paparazzi, Han Yijing, despite feeling unwell, insisted on touching up her makeup in the car. Upon arrival, she was rushed into the emergency room, while Jia Fan was pulled aside by a nurse to fill out paperwork. Though he wasn’t a family member, he was allowed to sign as a friend. At the bar, You Ning was complaining to Xing Mo about Han Yijing when President Ling caught her in the act.
President Ling ordered her to reflect on what had happened in the dressing room and warned her not to mention Liao Jinyuan’s name again. The doctor advised Han Yijing to reduce her workload; otherwise, her leg might not even support her daily life in the future. Han Yijing responded that she would be careful and that there was no need to inform President Ling. She was already 29—she didn’t have many years left to walk the runway.
Just then, Jia Fan happened to enter the hospital room and overheard her words. Annoyed, Han Yijing pushed him aside and left the hospital. Jia Fan kindly offered to drive her home, but Han Yijing coldly refused and warned him to keep his mouth shut. Though he liked beautiful women, he found Han Yijing to be nothing but sharp-tongued and mean.
Jia Fan stated that he had no interest in her and, as she wished, returned her car keys, distancing himself. Before leaving, he still handed her the medicine prescribed by the doctor. President Ling instructed her team to look into Jia Fan’s background.
She specifically went to Xing Mo’s bar that day to remind him—since he had claimed he wouldn’t let age dictate his modeling career and that he’d walk the runway until he was eighty—he had better live up to his words. Back home, Jia Fan enjoyed a warm meal cooked by his father, boasting about his debut on the runway while also praising the great genes he inherited.
Meanwhile, Dong Xiaoru packed seafood for delivery, and her mother sent Jia Fan to handle the delivery. He sped off on his electric scooter, safely delivering the goods to Moyilu—the modeling agency where Han Yijing worked. President Ling appreciated Jia Fan’s quick thinking and adaptability, exchanging a few words with him before letting him go. At the entrance, Jia Fan noticed a promotional poster for a model audition.
As he stared at it for a moment too long, someone approached and encouraged him to participate. Seizing the opportunity, Jia Fan quickly excused himself to the restroom and fled. As he stepped out of the building, he ran into Han Yijing. She assumed Jia Fan had ulterior motives and was deliberately approaching her, so she tried to pay him off to make him leave.
Jia Fan told Han Yijing that the type of woman he despised the most was someone like her—self-absorbed, sharp-tongued, and ungrateful. After arriving at the company, Han Yijing learned the real reason for Jia Fan’s visit. She deliberately stopped him and leaned in to retaliate, unleashing all her pent-up anger in a scathing tirade, giving him no chance to respond.
That night, while working at the fish shop, Jia Fan filleted fish alone, reminiscing about his experience on the runway and Han Yijing’s words. Distracted, he accidentally cut his hand.
