Jia Fan and Xing Mo supported each other as they walked out of Han Yijing’s house. Jia Fan thanked Xing Mo for today, but Xing Mo said he should be the one thanking Jia Fan. Jia Fan was confused, and Xing Mo didn’t explain further. Han Yijing let President Ling stay at her place, which made President Ling very happy.

Han Yijing said that if she could always be like she was tonight, no one would dislike her, and Xing Mo wouldn’t have to work so hard. As they went upstairs, Han Yijing turned back and wished President Ling a happy birthday. President Ling said her birthday wish was for Han Yijing and Jia Fan to part peacefully. Han Yijing didn’t argue, she only said, "If you say your wish out loud, it won’t come true.

"Han Yijing told Jia Fan that President Ling was actually really happy today, just too proud to show it. Jia Fan was about to tell Han Yijing about his eyes, but when he saw her say good night, he ended up deleting the message word by word. Early the next morning, You Ning approached Liao Jinyuan to talk about the company wanting her to switch careers and become an actress.

Liao Jinyuan said it was a great opportunity and encouraged her to give it a try. Huang Jinde had been waiting for Liao Jinyuan but instead ran into You Ning. You Ning warned him not to fabricate anything. Han Yijing and Jia Fan had already broken up, had nothing to do with Liao Jinyuan, and even less with her. But Huang Jinde, knowing You Ning’s temper, believed more strongly that something was going on the more she denied it.

You Ning secretly called Han Yijing ahead of time so she could hear the entire conversation between her and Huang Jinde. She apologized to Han Yijing and warned her to be careful. Dong Xiaoru’s mom, trying to support Jia Fan, asked all the seafood market customers to follow Jia Fan online, making him too embarrassed to go back to the stall to work.

When Dong Xiaoru asked why, her mom said it was thanks to Xiao Wang, the new assistant she had hired. Just then, a group of stylish young men and women walked in like they were on a runway—it was Jia Fan’s friends from the Modelling Road newcomer team. The newcomer friends said ever since Jia Fan became popular, brand designers had been flooding to Modelling Road to find him, and the pressure on President Ling had grown.

She was all cold-faced the entire time. Especially when Spanish designer Paniol visited Modelling Road specifically for Jia Fan. Even though President Ling strongly recommended Xing Mo, Paniol didn’t show much interest in him. Later during a meeting, President Ling suddenly said that if anyone wanted to meet Jia Fan, she could arrange it anytime. While they were still discussing this at the seafood store, President Ling arrived. Jia Fan knew that all of President Ling’s concerns were about his eyes.

He told her he had been checked, and his eyes were fine. But President Ling insisted—she couldn’t entrust Han Yijing to a ticking time bomb. What if his condition came back in the future? Han Yijing would be stuck taking care of him for the rest of her life. Han Yijing overheard Wu Ming on a call.

Wu Ming said that lately President Ling had given him a bunch of contact numbers for top eye specialists both in China and abroad, and asked him to reach out. He asked Han Yijing to try to understand where President Ling was coming from. President Ling agreed to let Jia Fan return to Modelling Road, but she still insisted they break up as soon as possible.

Jia Fan’s father told Jia Fan that Han Yijing had sent a lot of things over. Jia Fan said if she sent them, they should keep them. His father asked when he was going to tell Han Yijing about his eyes. Jia Fan was feeling down too—this couldn’t be delayed any longer. Han Yijing guessed that President Ling had asked Wu Ming to find doctors for Jia Fan, but President Ling wouldn’t admit it.

Seeing her reaction, Han Yijing was even more certain. She asked President Ling to keep it a secret for her—she’d figure it out on her own and told her not to worry anymore. Then Huang Jinde called President Ling, saying he had explosive news that involved Han Yijing.
