Liao Jinyuan asked Xing Mo if President Ling secretly found a doctor to treat Jia Fan’s father because she cared about Jia Fan. Xing Mo immediately denied it, saying President Ling only cared about profit—she wasn’t some philanthropist. She was an emotionless money-making machine. Liao Jinyuan also felt that such a warm and touching gesture didn’t match President Ling’s usual style. Liao Jinyuan went to Jia Fan’s house.

While he was looking around, Jia Fan’s father came out leaning on a bamboo stick. Hearing the noise, Jia Fan’s father thought Jia Fan had returned and reminded him to go to the hospital for a follow-up eye check. Jia Fan’s shoot ended smoothly, and Paniol was very satisfied. Before leaving, they planned a celebration party. Jia Fan’s eyes were uncomfortable and he wanted to decline, but still went with Wu Ming. Han Yijing went to the hospital for a checkup.

The doctor reminded her not to take painkillers frequently, but Han Yijing said she had an important show for Modelling Road next month. Once it was over, she’d take a break right away. For the Modelling Road show, President Ling wanted Xing Mo to open it. Wu Ming said Xing Mo had declined, and that he was already going through the contract termination process. According to company policy, he couldn’t participate in any events during the termination period.

Liao Jinyuan got drunk at a bar. Jia Fan went looking for Xing Mo and bumped into Liao Jinyuan. Liao Jinyuan challenged Jia Fan to a one-on-one basketball match. With nowhere else to vent his anger, Liao Jinyuan went at Jia Fan aggressively, knocking him to the ground several times. Jia Fan was completely confused.

Liao Jinyuan eventually said it outright—Han Yijing had already been through so much, and now she had to deal with a liar like Jia Fan who was hiding his illness and not being honest. Just as Liao Jinyuan was about to hit him again, Xing Mo arrived. Xing Mo said that these past few years hadn’t been easy for Liao Jinyuan either—he’d been living in regret every day.

In the relationship with Han Yijing, it was Liao Jinyuan who had never truly moved on. Jia Fan said he deserved it and understood why Liao Jinyuan was angry. Jia Fan asked Xing Mo why he was terminating his contract, but Xing Mo wouldn’t say—he just said he was tired and wanted to enjoy life. When Han Yijing saw Jia Fan return to the company, she shouted at him.

Coincidentally, some other team members sneaked in from outside and got caught. Han Yijing immediately switched to teacher mode and reminded them of how important the public show was, telling them to give their best performance. That night, Jia Fan heard Dong Xiaoru shouting about a fire outside his room. He rushed out and found that it was Dong Xiaoru bringing back one of his posters. Jia Fan’s father looked closely at the poster for a long time, visibly moved.

Liao Jinyuan arranged a meeting with President Ling. After talking business, he wanted to discuss something personal. President Ling didn’t want to hide it and admitted that she had known about Jia Fan’s eye condition even before he joined Modelling Road. She also said Han Yijing was already aware of it. Liao Jinyuan couldn’t understand why she had broken him and Han Yijing up back then, but now allowed Jia Fan and Han Yijing to be together.

President Ling said she didn’t want to see Han Yijing die. Back then, Han Yijing had a car accident and nearly died. Now that she had finally recovered, President Ling didn’t want to repeat the same mistakes. She apologized to Liao Jinyuan, saying that she had only done what she did out of concern for Han Yijing’s career. President Ling pleaded with Liao Jinyuan to just be a bystander. She had realized that the more she interfered, the worse things became—so now, she was choosing to let go.
