Modelling Road faced a major crisis—investors began pulling out. Without Han Yijing and Xing Mo, Modelling Road was nothing more than an empty shell. President Ling was also nowhere to be seen. Everyone gathered at Xing Mo’s bar, drinking away their frustrations. Wu Ming drank one shot after another. You Ning was still worried about the trouble she had caused.

When Li Haoran heard that some of the new team members were already looking for a way out, he flew into a rage and shouted for them to leave, only to be stopped by Xing Mo. Wu Ming told them that anyone who wanted to leave should just go, no one should try to stop them. Since they were all handpicked by President Ling, they should trust her and not be afraid.

As soon as Wu Ming left the bar, he sat by the roadside and cried. He told Xing Mo that he wasn’t actually worried about Modelling Road—what he was worried about was President Ling. Because the one caught in this mess was Han Yijing, and Han Yijing was her everything. Xing Mo comforted Wu Ming, saying that apart from trusting President Ling, they also needed to give her time.

Wu Ming said that right now, Jia Fan was Modelling Road’s last hope. Jia Fan found Han Yijing, and the two of them snuggled together on the beach waiting for the sunrise. Unfortunately, it was a cloudy day. Jia Fan suggested they go on a date—in this place where no one knew them, they didn’t need to hide or pretend.

They rode bikes, ate ice cream, took selfies, went shopping, camped, collected seashells by the sea, splashed in the water—completely relaxed and free. It felt like the world had faded away, leaving only joy and happiness behind. Xing Mo brought food to visit President Ling. Now, Modelling Road was a complete mess. Wu Ming was drinking every day. Xing Mo advised President Ling to accept reality. Since the truth couldn’t be hidden, she might as well tell Han Yijing directly.

Han Yijing had grown up—she was no longer a child, nor in her rebellious phase. Liao Jinyuan, at the cost of his position as chief editor of Qixiang, helped secure a consultation with a specialist, and didn’t even let Wu Ming tell President Ling—saying he owed it to Han Yijing. While eating the sandwich Xing Mo brought, President Ling smiled and said he was indeed good at comforting people—and that wasn’t his only strength.

President Ling sent a WeChat message to Han Yijing about the consultation, and reassured her that if Jia Fan’s father could be treated, then one day Jia Fan could be cured too. She apologized for having made decisions about Han Yijing’s life without asking, but said she was very grateful to have been able to watch her grow up. That night, Jia Fan and Han Yijing camped out in a tent.

Their eyes met, and Han Yijing saw through Jia Fan’s feelings, while Jia Fan also understood what she was thinking. Han Yijing said she wouldn’t go to France with him, but she would always wait for him. Jia Fan told her never to forget that he was by her side, to take good care of herself, and to wait for him to come back. The shareholders’ meeting was moved up.

After careful consideration, the four major investors decided to continue entrusting President Ling with the company. Director Li said that before the meeting, Xing Mo had called him and said Jia Fan had agreed to go to France, and that You Ning’s transition to acting was a new breakthrough for Modelling Road. They also talked about many other things. Director Li hadn’t expected someone as decisive and ruthless as Han Jialing to have so many supporters.

So, they all unanimously agreed to keep supporting President Ling. Everyone was happy that President Ling would continue to lead Modelling Road. Although Xing Mo had terminated his contract, he would continue working with Modelling Road in a mentor role, which made President Ling very pleased.
