Su Li asked Wang Ganggang about the call from the publisher of *Under the Skirt*, stating that the final payment hadn't been settled. Wang Ganggang lied, claiming she had already transferred the money to the publisher, and blamed the bank, saying she would follow up again. What Su Li didn’t know was that Wang Ganggang had already embezzled the final payment and given it to Zhang Shuheng. She was worried that Zhang Shuheng would expose her for taking the money.
Although Zhang Shuheng promised to return it within a week, Wang Ganggang had not been able to reach him. Wang Ganggang had no choice but to go to the hotel and find Zhang Shuheng’s room, questioning why he wasn’t answering her calls. Zhang Shuheng acted nonchalantly and said he couldn’t return the money. Realizing she had been deceived, Wang Ganggang considered confronting him no matter the consequences. Zhang Shuheng, however, assured her that he had a solution.
He suggested that Wang Ganggang steal Su Li’s safe key, and he would take care of the rest. When Su Li went to a script meeting, Wang Ganggang stole the key and gave it to Zhang Shuheng. Although Zhang Shuheng originally agreed to steal only one item, once he opened the safe, he changed his mind and wanted to take all the jewelry.
Su Li suddenly appeared and took pictures of Zhang Shuheng stealing, warning him to surrender to the police. Wang Ganggang quickly stood by Su Li’s side, claiming she had already confessed everything and urged Su Li to call the police. Zhang Shuheng, filled with hatred toward Su Li, mocked her for not having his child, then pulled out a knife and approached them. Both Su Li and Wang Ganggang were terrified and stayed silent.
By the time they gathered their senses, Zhang Shuheng had already fled. Just as Zhang Shuheng ran out, he was hit by a car. Su Li took him to the hospital, where she learned that he had suffered a brain hemorrhage. She asked Wang Ganggang to find a caregiver for Zhang Shuheng, saying she would cover all the expenses.
Wang Ganggang didn’t understand Su Li’s actions, but Su Li, feeling soft-hearted, explained that Zhang Shuheng had no family in the area. Curious about why Zhang Shuheng had asked Wang Ganggang for money, Su Li was told by Wang Ganggang that she had been threatened by Zhang Shuheng and, fearing he might harm Su Li, was forced to embezzle the funds.
Su Li finally arranged a meeting with Director Li Wen, but Wang Ganggang couldn't accompany her due to a scheduling conflict with Sun General. Su Li entrusted Wang Weide with this important task. However, during the meal, Wang Weide didn’t do his homework on Li Wen’s preferences, nearly ruining their first meeting. Fortunately, Su Li noticed that Li Wen was a vegetarian and quickly adapted by asking the kitchen to prepare a gourmet vegetarian dish.
Li Wen was impressed with Su Li and expressed interest in further cooperation. Later, Wang Ganggang visited Zhang Shuheng at the hospital, speaking to herself and believing that Su Li genuinely trusted her story and hadn’t pursued the missing funds. She felt guilty for betraying Su Li and jokingly asked Zhang Shuheng if he felt the same way. She failed to notice that his fingers had moved.
Wang Ganggang started to suspect that Su Li had become aware of something and believed that Su Li might be looking to replace her. Shen Charen, thinking that Su Li intended to harm Wang Ganggang, suggested that before their secret came to light, Wang Ganggang should steal more money, and they could flee together. Meanwhile, Wang Weide took Su Li out for beef noodles and thoughtfully helped her change her shoes, making Su Li feel somewhat touched.
Su Li worked late to complete a proposal, and when Wang Ganggang brought her food, she took advantage of Su Li going to the bathroom to steal the proposal and sell it to someone else. When Su Li was ready to report the proposal to Li Wen, she accidentally saw Wang Ganggang getting into someone else’s car with the documents.
During the meeting, Li Wen interrupted Su Li, revealing that her proposal was plagiarized and that another company had already submitted it. Confused, Su Li insisted that the proposal was her original work. In private, she told Wang Ganggang that there was a mole in the company and advised her to stay quiet for the time being. Wang Weide, after successfully completing a task, arrived at a private room, where Chen Yingying handed him money.
She threatened him to continue cooperating by taking intimate photos with Su Li, intending to ruin her. Wang Weide wanted to end the partnership, but Chen Yingying refused to relent.
