After Shen Charen returned, he reported the case to the police, who arrested all the debt collectors. Wang Ganggang was finally able to let go of her burdens. She sold her house to someone else and thanked them for agreeing to take care of her small goldfish. Wang Ganggang planned to use the money from selling the house to repay Su Li, but she knew it wouldn’t be enough. She decided to resign, feeling unworthy of staying at the company.
Su Li asked Wang Ganggang about her plans after resigning and inquired about when she would be able to clear her debts. Wang Ganggang shook her head, indicating she had no plans. Su Li suggested she stay at the company, even joking about rehiring her. Wang Ganggang was moved to tears, and Su Li playfully said she would "punish" her by making her have dinner with her. Zhang Shuheng finally woke up.
After his coma, he felt like he had been given a new lease on life. He expressed his remorse to Su Li, believing he deserved his current state. He regretted not appreciating Su Li as a wonderful wife and sincerely apologized to her. Wang Ganggang noticed that Su Li’s feelings for Wang Weide seemed different and deliberately said Su Li was experiencing youthful infatuation. Su Li strongly denied it, and Wang Ganggang pretended to fall asleep and ignored her.
As the new year arrived, Su Li invited Wang Ganggang to dinner, but Wang Ganggang said she needed to return to her hometown. Su Li ended up sitting alone in the office, watching the fireworks outside, which reminded her of the times she spent with Wang Weide. On her way home, Su Li saw the streets bustling with activity. She walked through the crowd, listening to the street performers.
Seeing everyone around her with companions made her feel a bit lonely. She pulled out her phone and called Wang Weide. He answered immediately and said he had been waiting for her call. When Su Li turned around, she saw Wang Weide standing right in front of her. Unable to contain her emotions, she ran towards him. After Chen Yingying was discharged from the hospital, Su Li gave her a letter from Zhang Shuheng.
In the letter, Zhang Shuheng apologized to Chen Yingying and hoped she could return to a normal life. Su Li also gave Chen Yingying a pair of white sneakers, hoping she would no longer make mistakes. Chen Yingying accepted the gift, put on the new shoes, and set off afresh. Su Li attended the wedding of her subordinate Gu Lan and met her husband, Chen Kai.
During the wedding ceremony, Chen Kai took the microphone from the wedding planner, Jia Xin. Su Li noticed that their relationship seemed complicated, but Gu Lan did not seem to realize this.
