Furious that his genuine feelings were betrayed, Li Jian, in a fit of anger, grabbed Qiuyu by the throat and ordered her never to see Li Mo again. They parted ways on bad terms. Qiuyu turned to leave, and coincidentally, she encountered Li Mo who had been eavesdropping at the door. Li Mo pretended to be dignified and started educating his brother. Unable to bear listening to it, Li Jian asked Li Mo to leave as well. Watching Li Mo's retreating figure, Qiuyu let out a sigh of relief.
Back at the palace, Li Mo had a meeting with Qiuyu. Qiuyu secretly found Li Mo and held his hand to show her loyalty, promising to protect Li Mo no matter the cost. Li Mo pretended to be caring, expressing concern for the scars on Qiuyu's body.
Next, Li Mo met with Xiner and praised her for being efficient. Xiner didn't care about these compliments; she was concerned about what would happen to Murong Qiuyu after Li Jian's death. When she received Li Mo's response that Qiuyu would be put in a life-threatening situation, Xiner was satisfied. Both of them were playing their own games.
Qiuyu helped Li Jian put on his armor and handed him his bow and arrow, nodding in agreement. The day of the hunt had arrived, and Li Jian walked alone, weak, through the empty woods. Suddenly, Li Mo's voice echoed behind him, and then Li Jian found himself surrounded. Qiuyu stood confidently by Li Mo's side, and Li Jian's heart sank. Li Mo impatiently ordered Qiuyu to take action. Qiuyu, following the command, took two steps forward and, after confirming with Li Jian, drew her sword.
