Lin Weixu walked into the dungeon and asked Fu Su with great concern when he discovered that the dagger belonged to his mother. Fu Su candidly replied that he first saw the dagger on Lin Weixu's desk when he visited her for the first time. Lin Weixu understood everything and realized that Fu Su had only approached her to use her to investigate his mother's situation.
Lin Weixu asked Fu Su if he had found anything. Fu Su told her that he suspected Gu Danmo was a spy from Beiqi Kingdom, but Lin Weixu didn't believe it. She told Fu Su that Gu Danmo had her mother's portrait because he had obtained it by chance during his visit to Beiqi Kingdom as an envoy. Despite her words, Lin Weixu started investigating Gu Danmo.
Lin Weixu secretly went to Gu Danmo's room and found a letter left by her master on his bookshelf. In the letter, her master said that she and Gu Danmo were meant to be together. While Lin Weixu was reading the letter, Gu Danmo suddenly walked in. She asked him about his investigation, and Gu Danmo confidently replied that Yan Chu was both the queen of Beiqi and Nanzhao Kingdoms. Since Fu Su was her son, he could not be ruled out as a suspect. Therefore, he suspected that Fu Su was a spy from Beiqi Kingdom.
