Cui Lin and Tao Zi were savoring delicious food in their room, paying no attention to the yet-to-return Li Ni and Xie Zhanger. After a while, Li Ni, feeling annoyed, entered the room and dismissed everyone. A quarrel erupted between them. In the grand Chengluan Hall, Li Ni and Cui Lin found themselves in a tug-of-war over a blanket, neither willing to let go. In the end, Li Ni accidentally fell straight onto Cui Lin. Unperturbed, Cui Lin produced a silver needle from somewhere and attempted to stab him. Li Ni, quick-witted, seized her hand and rolled backward, disarming her of the silver needle. Taking advantage of Cui Lin's distraction, Li Ni impulsively kissed her. Perhaps it was the thick aroma of hotpot that added a touch of ambiguity between them.

Early the next morning, before Li Ni opened his eyes, he felt around beside him. Upon discovering an empty space, he quickly turned around.
