Cui Lin woke up and gently touched Li Ni's face. Startled, Li Ni looked down at Cui Lin. However, she remained motionless, and everything just now seemed to be a beautiful dream. He gently set Cui Lin down, opened the sketchbook, and vivid memories of the past flooded his mind. Yet, in the end of that story, he couldn't capture Cui Lin's appearance. Overwhelmed with grief, Li Ni held Cui Lin and wept bitterly.

Xie Zhanger found Tao Zi in the chaotic burial grounds, and surprisingly, she still had a faint breath. However, her injuries were severe, and the physician wasn't confident about saving her. Xie Zhanger quickly fetched Tao Zi's medicine box, hoping the physician could find some solution.

Meanwhile, Gu Wanniang falsely complained to the new empress about the death of the Crown Prince's consort, claiming that after the Crown Prince took her away yesterday, there was no news. The new empress, anxious, consoled Gu Wanniang, promising to appoint her as the Crown Prince's consort after dealing with the Crown Prince's funeral. Wu Luo also arrived at the Gu residence and informed him of the events from the previous day. Gu Wanniang worried that their conspiracy with Wu Luo might be exposed, leading to severe consequences. The new emperor, in a dilemma, surprisingly chose not to believe his own son but trusted Gu Wanniang's words. Angry and desperate, Li Ni didn't want to linger any longer, so he drew his sword. Both Gu Wanniang and Wu Luo no longer disguised their intentions and advanced to seize the new emperor. It was then that the new emperor realized he had been deceived by Gu Wanniang. Fearful of losing his life, he asked Li Ni to leave quickly. Reluctantly, Li Ni complied, but afraid of death, he agreed to provide horses for Jie Shuo. Wu Luo was delighted, holding the new emperor hostage and heading out of the palace. Seizing the opportunity, Li Ni swiftly pulled out a short sword from his waist and, like a bolt of lightning, threw it at Wu Luo's arm. Unable to dodge, Wu Luo released the new emperor. Seizing the chance, Li Ni pursued and engaged him in a fight. The new emperor and empress took advantage of the chaos to hide on the side.

Wu Luo and Li Ni were evenly matched, and in a one-on-one battle, Li Ni feared he might not be Wu Luo's equal. At that moment, Cui Lin in the coffin suddenly opened her eyes, picked up the sword on her chest, and leaped up, thrusting it fiercely at Wu Luo. Li Ni was pleasantly surprised, and his eyes instantly became moist. Gu Wanniang was also shocked, quickly sneaking away. After dealing with Jie Shuo, the couple acted in harmony, immediately finding Gu Wanniang and killing her on the spot.
