Qi Tianlei and Li Yuhu continued their investigation and eventually arrived at the White Sparrow Monastery. Qi Tianlei and Li Yuhu decided to approach Luxuan again to gain her trust. They went to the back mountain to find her, but Luxuan still refused to admit her identity. Lao Guan and his men found the White Sparrow Monastery and attempted to kill the blind old woman to silence her. Qi Tianlei and Li Yuhu intervened, protecting Luxuan during the fight. In the scuffle, Qi Tianlei injured his arm while protecting Li Yuhu but didn't let her know to avoid worrying her.

After escaping from Lao Guan and his men, Li Yuhu discovered Qi Tianlei's injury. She bandaged his wound and felt both concern for his injury and guilt for not protecting him better. Luxuan realized that her cover was blown, and staying in the White Sparrow Monastery was no longer safe. She decided to follow Qi Tianlei and Li Yuhu to Linzhou to expose Ke Shizhao's wrongdoing. For many years, she had concealed her identity to seek justice for her son's false accusations. She was now willing to testify the truth in front of Grandma.

Li Yuhu learned that the downhill path was blocked by Lao Guan and his men. To successfully descend, she suggested that Qi Tianlei disguise himself as Night Fragrance Lang and herself as a nun from the White Sparrow Monastery. This way, they could avoid interception and safely leave the mountain. Lao Guan received news that Qi Tianlei and the others had already descended the mountain and sent a message to Ke Shizhao so that they could arrange to intercept the three who had escaped.

Liu Ruoqian, accompanied by his wife, arrived at the military camp. At this time, news of a great victory on the frontlines reached them.
