However, Ke Shizhao, using the golden hairpin, held Grandma hostage, forcing Li Yuhu to reluctantly step back. Taking advantage, Ke Shizhao entered the secret chamber, but Li Yuhu cleverly removed the golden hairpin, causing Ke Shizhao to fall into the secret room.

Qi Tianlei and others dealt with the black-clothed men brought by Wang Huzi. The authorities arrived to arrest Ke Shizhao. Even at this point, Ke Shizhao refused to admit any wrongdoing. Grandma rebuked him for being unrepentant. As Ke Shizhao was taken away by the authorities, Grandma thanked the couple Liu Ruoqian and Li Yuhu for their help. With everything resolved, Li Yuhu publicly admitted that she was not Du Bingyan but Li Yuhu.

Despite the mix-up with the wedding sedan, Grandma was upset that everyone had kept the truth from her.
