Zhuang Momo waited in the new room but Long Yixiao did not come. She made up her mind that if he was playing with her, she wouldn't spare him. At that moment, someone outside the window was putting poison inside. By the time Zhuang Momo noticed it, it was too late, and she fainted on the ground.
When Zhuang Momo woke up, she found herself tied up and locked in jail. The jailer announced her crime, accusing her of being a member of the Huoying Society and deserving to be executed. Zhuang Momo angrily said that they had framed her just like how they had killed her parents. The man arrogantly replied that even if that was true, what could she do about it? Could she go and fight him? Zhuang Momo looked at his ugly face and spat on it. The man slapped her a few times and left in a hurry.
Liu Jingchen came to the jail and proudly told Zhuang Momo that she had already married Long Yixiao, and came to visit her on their honeymoon. Zhuang Momo cursed her and warned her to be careful of getting mouth sores from her wicked words. Liu Jingchen continued to provoke Zhuang Momo, saying that all of this was arranged by Long Yixiao. Liu Jingchen arrogantly said that social status had already been determined and how could Long Yixiao marry such a cheap woman like her.
