Jiang Yuxiao struggled for a long time before coming to deliver medicine to Li Shubai, only to find that his wound had healed. Jiang Yuxiao obtained intelligence from Yunjing that confirmed his involvement in the rebellion through a handwritten letter. She recognized her father's handwriting, but the last sentence had been added later by someone else. Hong Yu told Jiang Yuxiao that she had recently investigated and found out that Li Shubai was not the person he was rumored to be.
Xuan Xiao came wearing a mask and upon seeing the tattoo on Jiang Yuxiao's back, realized that she was also a daughter of a criminal. Xuan Xiao claimed to have come to fulfill a three-day appointment, but Jiang Yuxiao stated that Li Shubai did not do what he was accused of; someone paid off a Wei family mistress to falsely accuse Li Shubai.
