Yongan Dream is a historical detective comedy directed by Huang Bin, Deng Weien, and Chen Qiang. It stars Ouyang Nana, Xu Zhengxi, Sun Jian, and Xia Nan in leading roles, with special appearances by Liu Haikuan.

The series is adapted from the novel "The Most Beautiful Woman in Chang'an / 长安第一美人", tells the story of Shen Zhen, a fallen aristocrat, and Lu Shiyun, a judicial officer, as they join forces to overcome life-threatening challenges and ultimately find happiness together.

Synopsis

In the capital city of Yong An, the collapse of the West City Canal leads to the sudden downfall of Shangshu Shen Wenqi, the official in charge of the project, who finds himself imprisoned overnight. With the nest overturned, the two daughters of the Shen family, Shen Mei and Shen Zhen, also fall into dire straits. Particularly, the younger daughter, Shen Zhen, who has been sheltered in the inner chambers and is unfamiliar with the ways of the world, now struggles on the streets, vulnerable and defenseless. Meanwhile, Judicial Officer Lu Shiyun, tasked with investigating the case, finds himself perplexed due to recurring dreams of a mysterious woman with whom he shares unexplained connections.

Upon investigation, Lu Shiyun discovers that the enigmatic woman from his dreams is none other than Shen Zhen, the daughter of the condemned official. As Lu Shiyun gradually approaches her, they both step into the unknown twists of fate. Centered around the case of the West City Canal, the two endure life-threatening challenges, entrusting each other with faith and forming a deep bond. With Shen Zhen's assistance, Lu Shiyun unravels the truth behind the case. However, the true puppeteer behind the scenes quietly closes in on the duo.
