Dowager Zhao had been imprisoned in the Cold Palace by the emperor. When she saw Mu Yao visiting her, she instinctively thought it was her own daughter. Mu Yao explained that the princess had entrusted her with a message—once she resolved her inner turmoil, she would come to visit Dowager Zhao. Dowager Zhao had lied many times, deceiving the entire world, but the truth she most wanted to hide was about her own daughter.

Mu Yao had come to fulfill the task entrusted to her, but she was also seeking an answer. She couldn’t understand why her father had given the jade pendant to Dowager Zhao. Dowager Zhao told Mu Yao the truth. She said that Mu Yao’s father had known the blueprint for the construction of the Xing Shan Hall when it was being built and had given the jade pendant to her.

Two years later, when the hall was completed, Mu Yao's father had visited it and even instructed Dowager Zhao to use an ordinary daughter to replace the princess. But since the fire at Xing Shan Hall, Ling Miaomiao’s memory had started to fade, and she couldn’t remember many things clearly. It seemed that everything would need to be explained by Master Wenxin. While traveling, a group of bandits passed by and attempted to rob them.

Before Mu Sheng, Mu Yao, and Liu Fuyi could act, Ling Miaomiao, unable to tolerate it, stepped forward and used her inner strength to deal with them. Her extraordinary power stunned everyone. Realizing that her abilities had grown stronger, Ling Miaomiao was as energetic as a rabbit, busy using her magic to assist the others with various tasks. Liu Fuyi sent Mu Yao away and handed Mu Sheng a defensive talisman.

His master had set up a formation at the entrance to the valley, and the talisman would help Mu Sheng avoid being exposed as a demon. Mu Sheng was stunned, unsure how Liu Fuyi knew his true identity. Cui Cui and Ling Miaomiao quickly denied that they had revealed anything about Mu Sheng. Mu Sheng was worried that Liu Fuyi would tell Mu Yao, but fortunately, Liu Fuyi had been keeping his secret all along.

When they reached the entrance to the Ràn Valley, Liu Fuyi led the group inside. The valley had a formation set by his master as well. As Liu Fuyi stood in the formation, the walls revealed his true heart—a child. Mu Yao’s heart revealed herself, dressed as the head of the Mu family. Cui Cui’s heart showed an enormous bamboo forest.

Ling Miaomiao’s heart was that of an office worker in front of a computer, though she seemed to have forgotten her modern memories and found this vision strange. Everyone took their turn, and Mu Sheng nervously stepped forward. Fortunately, his shadow appeared normal, and he let out a sigh of relief. As they continued, Master Wenxin suddenly appeared. He had noticed that Mu Sheng had entered the valley while concealing his half-demon identity.

He scolded Liu Fuyi severely and took back the defensive talisman. His true form was revealed, and his demonic nature was exposed. Mu Yao was shocked and quickly retracted her sword.
