Tang Yang lifted her head while answering the phone, and there he was—Jiang Shiyan! He smiled as he walked toward her step by step. Tang Yang felt a little dazed by happiness. This was the person she had always cared for, yet they had always maintained a friendship. Now, Jiang Shiyan had come to spend New Year's Eve with her, and her eyes reddened. Jiang Shiyan reached into his pocket and pulled out a sparkler. It was their tradition.

Many years ago, Tang Yang had casually mentioned that she loved sparklers, and Jiang Shiyan had remembered it ever since, bringing her sparklers every year. Tang Yang asked Jiang Shiyan why he wasn’t spending New Year's Eve at the company. Jiang Shiyan confidently said that he only wanted to spend the night with her. Fireworks bloomed in the dark, deep sky, just like the flowers in Tang Yang’s heart.

The two of them stood side by side, silently watching the fireworks, feeling that this moment was especially beautiful. Jiang Shiyan then took Tang Yang back to the company to have New Year's Eve dinner. Sheng Nina saw the two of them arriving together and finally realized that the person Jiang Shiyan liked was Tang Yang. Jiang Shiyan nodded in agreement, blurting out that he also believed the happiest thing in life was when friends became lovers. Tang Yang looked back at Jiang Shiyan in surprise, noticing how serious he looked. She had often felt that Jiang Shiyan had a place for her in his heart, but she was never sure whether it was out of brotherly affection or romantic interest, making her uncertain and afraid to pursue it.

Feng Weiran and his wife left early, leaving Tang Yang and Jiang Shiyan to wait for the sunrise alone. The air around them was damp and cool. Jiang Shiyan took off his jacket and gently draped it over Tang Yang. They cherished this moment of solitude. As the first rays of light touched the earth, Zhou Mo finished the last bottle of beer and then staggered to his feet. He carefully wiped the name on the tombstone.

He had spent New Year's Eve here and stayed until the early hours of the next morning. Only here, by the grave, did he feel at peace. After New Year's Eve, Jiang Shiyan called Tang Yang to invite her to the company to play cards. Despite her terrible card skills, with Jiang Shiyan helping her, she managed to win a few rounds and was extremely happy.

Jiang Shiyan’s mother heard that his company was holding a “leftover food competition,” and she actively participated. Despite her average cooking skills, she put in extra effort in the kitchen and actually made sushi rice balls. As New Year’s Eve approached, Jiang Shiyan overheard his employees asking for leave to have a family reunion dinner. He suddenly realized that he had never had a New Year's Eve dinner with Tang Yang. He remembered many years ago, when his mother was hospitalized, and Tang Yang rushed to the hospital to be with him, bringing him food. At that moment, he truly felt that Tang Yang had entered his life in a meaningful way.
