At the wine party, Lin Lang clung to Gan Yiming, and as expected, was forced to drink a lot. Tang Yang noticed that she didn’t look well and immediately helped her leave the scene. Lin Lang vomited in the restroom for quite some time, feeling miserable. Tang Yang told her to go home and not to worry about the rest. Gan Yiming had his own plans, but Tang Yang’s intervention ruined them, so he began to harbor resentment towards her.

Seeing Tang Yang standing on the stage giving out awards, his desire grew even stronger. Taking advantage of a moment when no one was paying attention, he called Tang Yang outside, claiming to have something work-related to discuss. Tang Yang, curious about what had happened, then saw Jiang Shiyan following closely behind and realized that Jiang Shiyan had avenged her. It was clear that Jiang Shiyan had been quietly protecting her all along, and whatever had happened between them in the past few days was instantly forgotten. Tang Yang helped Jiang Shiyan apply medicine to his injured hand.

Though Jiang Shiyan looked like a tough guy from the outside, he was surprisingly vulnerable. Who knew how many punches he’d thrown at Gan Yiming, only to end up hurting his own hand? Zhou Mo had witnessed the entire scene of Gan Yiming being beaten. He walked over, helped Gan Yiming get a car, and went back with him.

In fact, Gan Yiming’s wife was one of Zhou Mo's company leaders, and Zhou Mo had received instructions from her to take Gan Yiming back. The couple had been separated for many years, living their own lives. When they needed to appear together for an event, they would put on a temporary act.
