> You Are My Lover Friend Recap

Jiang Shiyan was sent to the emergency room and, after undergoing surgery, was moved to a hospital room. Jiang Yanan and Feng Weiran came to visit him, while Tang Yang specifically bought some milk and toiletries for him. She asked Jiang Shiyan how he was feeling and reminded him that he couldn’t eat anything until he passed gas. Tang Yang gave him a long list of instructions, but Jiang Shiyan quietly lay in bed, not minding her nagging at all.

Instead, he felt reassured watching Tang Yang busy herself around him. Jiang Shiyan's mother went home to get some of her personal belongings, leaving Tang Yang to stay with him in the room. She thoughtfully placed a phone next to Jiang Shiyan’s pillow, reminding him to inform her when he passed gas, so she could bring some food to the room.

On her way home, Tang Yang bought easily digestible millet porridge and ingredients, waking up early the next day to bring them to Jiang Shiyan. By then, Jiang Shiyan had passed gas and could eat some food. Tang Yang personally fed him millet porridge and a few delicate side dishes. She originally planned to stay with him that evening in place of the housekeeper, but Jiang Yanan enthusiastically insisted that she take over.

She explained that it would be more convenient for a man to care for another man during the night, a rather solid excuse. Although Tang Yang and Jiang Shiyan were close, taking care of someone overnight wasn’t something she could handle. Tang Yang’s bank supervisor called her into the office. After listening to her work report from the past few days, he specifically reminded her that for some reputable companies in the market, the bank should adopt more flexible policies.

Tang Yang understood that he was referring to Qinglai. However, based on her investigation, she discovered that Qinglai Group hadn’t paid its employees for several months, and their bonuses and allowances were also being delayed. Tang Yang felt that the situation wasn’t as simple as it appeared, so she decided to conduct another review and didn’t approve Qinglai’s loan. She took three days off to accompany Jiang Shiyan at the hospital.

When Jiang Shiyan heard that Tang Yang would be coming to stay the night, he was overjoyed, excitedly imagining spending the evening alone with her. But shortly after, the doctor came to check on him and found all his vital signs to be normal. The doctor advised that Jiang Shiyan could be discharged that day. Surprised, Jiang Shiyan immediately asked if he could stay another day and be discharged tomorrow. The doctor reiterated that appendicitis was a minor surgery.

Frustrated, Jiang Shiyan texted Tang Yang, telling her she no longer needed to stay with him that night. Tang Yang replied, promising to come in the afternoon to help him with the discharge process and take him home. It seemed Jiang Shiyan’s prayers reached the heavens, as he developed a fever in the afternoon. The doctor recommended that he stay for further observation.

Lying in bed, Jiang Shiyan smiled, while Tang Yang, seeing the rising temperature on the thermometer, couldn’t help but worry. She took even greater care of him, staying by his side through the night. Every time Jiang Shiyan woke up and opened his eyes, he saw Tang Yang’s concerned gaze. Feeling content, by the next morning, Jiang Shiyan’s complexion had improved. Tang Yang propped up his pillow to make him more comfortable.

As the two sat close together, Jiang Shiyan could smell the scent of Tang Yang’s hair, and the atmosphere between them grew more intimate. Jiang Shiyan’s mother brought breakfast and, noticing how hard Tang Yang had worked, urged her to go home and rest. She also said there was no need for Tang Yang to come in the next couple of days, reminding her that work was important.

Jiang Shiyan was able to walk around, so there wasn’t a need for someone to stay by his side constantly. Jiang Shiyan could only watch helplessly as the equally reluctant Tang Yang left the room. When Jiang Yanan wasn’t busy, she would chat with Tang Yang. Ever since Feng Weiran paid the deposit for the new house without her consent, it had been a source of unease for her.

Although Feng Weiran sent her flowers every day after that, Jiang Yanan still wasn’t happy, feeling that they were increasingly losing common ground in their relationship.
